I have a 28 4k and it is pretty good... Also 15 4k laptop no issues.
I won't settle for anything less than 4k...text is so crisp. Working writing reading is a pleasure in these monitors.
Windows scale works ok

I bought 32un880 LG that is 32” and i find this monitor to be perfect for me. In fact, i am going to buy another one if it goes on sale again.
I also own an acer 28” uhd (don’t remember the model number), and i find it a bit too small for me.

The Dell is highly regarded by Rtings, and most likely has a bit better build quality based off the reviews I've read of both. Their stands are generally very good as well. It also has Freesync which is kind of meh for the purpose of the monitor anyways.
This Samsung has 90W USB-C which is really nice for those with modern laptops.
If you don't care about USB-C and don't mind paying $75 more, I'd say Dell is a good buy. It has been cheaper before, but that was back in summer of last year.
This is not a gaming monitor in the 1st place and if you want a 4K 120Hz/144Hz monitor, don't come to a sub $300 monitor thread in the 1st place. There are lot of use cases apart from gaming in a 4K 27" monitor. This can be a pretty solid multimedia and work monitor, especially for the price.
90W laptop charging is fantastic. I don't know of any other monitor that can charge a 15" or 16" MacBook Pro.
I also don't know why people are complaining about the screen size. You don't have to work at the original resolution. All OSs will scale to 125% or 150% perfectly. My only complaint, funny enough, is that this doesn't have any USB-A ports.

Brightness at 300 nits and contrast ratio of 1000:1 don't make this a great option for coding.
The 32" LG deal at Costco has better options for that purpose.

i agree with the other posts, if you HAVE to go for 4k at 27" consider the LG models, they have better brightness and are IPS.
I have the 32" version of this 4k, but the S70 (same but san speakers, usb c).
I'd recommend waiting for the M7. Why? because they all use a VA panel which is better for black, so movies. yet you get the adv of also using as a computer monitor.
Solely as a computer monitor... I recommend 32" for a 4k, qhd is fine for 27", also consider IPS display for higher brightness.
60hz makes me run away from these... especially since it's > 1080p resolution
