8 test/person/month.
Thanks for the information. I am assuming, we do not need any prescription and proof of symptoms etc..,

Got question. Mom got positive and there are symptoms. How many days do I have to wait for another test? I got the test as negative. Ordered this test last year and used couple days ago, ordered another test kit since I needed it anyway. I can't wait for the test kit

Total scam, 4 of our family tested negative with this kit . But pcr test shows positive.don't trust them plus most doctors and work will not except the results.
If you knew the differences between these tests and pcr you wouldn't be saying this. And it's common sense these won't be accepted for official purposes since you don't do the test under any kind of supervision.

Nope -- the idea is that you will be able to have them on hand to test when you get an exposure or show symptoms -- without needing to wait for the mail, find an appointment slot, etc.

Can you imagine if they *WERE* allowed? Every covidiot out there would just lie that they tested with one of these.

Not if you're on a private insurance plan. Medicare and Medicaid don't cover it for some reason.

You're supposed to take two tests forty eight hours apart but you might have to take a third one because omicron is harder to detect for these tests.

This is for Covid test, but the post is for anti gene kits. So it is different. Am I right?
They are the same thing. Facts.

Honestly, the incentive to provide that service is pretty good -- if insurance companies pay up front, they only ow $12/test. If they force people to file for reimbursement, they owe the *FULL* value of the test, even if it's more than $12 -- insurance companies are going to get this online as soon as possible.
If insurance companies made deals in advance they can provide cheaper tests and just have to pay for that.

They could make it that easy. My knowledge is way pre COVID — I moved out of retail before even flu shots were a thing — so I don't know if things have gotten better or worse in regards to PBMs handing off medical claims. But the electronic claims part of the "insurance billing" in pharmacy takes a literal second, if we are talking pharmacy benefits (utilizing PBMs and NCPDP standards), which of course we probably aren't. And assuming the PBM is not dragging their dicks for the patients to trip over, and is on board for taking care of people, which again they probably aren't. But the glass half full view would be that the PBM can police what is being purchased and how often (we all know how great they are at that— "sorry sir you've exceeded your 6 viagra / imitrex this month"), and the clerk should only have to enter in the PCN/Group/ID/DOB. All they should need to speed things up would be a universal QR code containing whatever they need (PCN, group, ID) then DOB from a license check and people be on their way. Wishful thinking, I know.
Lol. Optum is my insurer's PBM and they currently have COVID tests in stock in their public store. But my insurance company, which owns Optum, claims it can't distribute tests so will require you to buy them in your own.

To those of you getting this and submitting the reimbursement claims to insurances, I hope you realize you will only be reimbursed up to $12, which is the maximum that all insurances agreed to unless you check out through their pharmacy. Check with your insurance before impulse buying these. These will not be free and count against your monthly maximum.
That's 12 per test, which is 24 for this box of two tests. The regulation requires them to pay your out of pocket costs unless they set up a distribution network of their own. But insurance companies are going to scam.
