$150 off Pixel 5a (5G)
Get a $150 phone discount with the purchase and activation of a Pixel 5a (5G) phone from fi.google.com. New Google Fi customers must transfer (port-in) your number to Fi from your current carrier to be eligible.
How do I qualify for the $150 discount as a new Fi customer?
You must be a new Fi customer. A new Fi customer is someone who has never had Fi service or someone whose last day of Fi service took place more than 180 days before making a purchase with this promotion.
To qualify for the full $150 discount, you need to:
Activate the phone on a new full service plan (data-only SIMs do not qualify) within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email and keep the qualifying phone active on Google Fi for 90 consecutive days.
You must activate on the same Fi account used to purchase the phone or be a new member of the purchaser's group plan.
You must also bring/transfer your number to Fi within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email. Fi-to-Fi number transfers are not eligible.
The discounted price will automatically apply during checkout. If you do not meet the conditions above, $150 will be charged to your Google Pay account.

The camera and battery are better, but overall it's not much of an upgrade. I never thought I'd consider moving to an iphone, but this thing has me cursing android.

The 3XL was lighter and a bit wider. I don't like the narrowing of phones these days. The 5A is an OK phone, especially for the price of $299.
I want a phone like those that they show on The Expanse!
Android 12 is a mess and is what comes pre-installed on these so you will have to be a little techy and flash Android 11 instead of just waiting for google to get it's .... together...
Interesting. I got mine December 2nd from the Google store and it came with Android 12 already installed. Prior to realizing how buggy it was, I was most disappointed because they got rid of the ability to use the power button to get to home controls quickly and replaced it with a shortcut to Google assistant. I can already get to Google assistant by speaking, swiping or a variety of other methods so I don't get the need to nix the old power button functionality.
