Not a big fan but I know some folks here love these.

Saw these on clearance at my local walmart. YMMV of course. Happy hunting! $99 online. $84 in store.
Edit: Many stores display at $64

Posting from app so idk how to add pictures.

These are fine speakers. Similar to the originals, but the Bluetooth implementation is horrible. No security so if you live in an apartment complex or something like that it's bad. Anyone can connect to them at any time without a code and play music, and all you can do about it is unplug them.

I was honestly relieved when the Bluetooth module finally died in mine after about 9 months. They've been great since.

So be aware of that if you buy them. You may end up wanting to disable the module some day.

I am seeing a lot in stock at $64
From the reviews most people like the sound but not the fact that most say there is an annoying hum while wired or Bluetooth. That and you can't tun them off without unplugging it. And many reviewers (actually a lot) say one speaker will stop working. I see them for $64 around me but I really don't have the time to waste on speakers that have all those bugs and a probable short life. -and that's if the store definitely has them. Factor in brickseek and you can forget it. I'm out.

Great mid and lows. Bass is incomparable at this price point. I was able to turn off blue tooth by pressing the volume control button. White light is for cable connection, blinking blue light is for discoverable mode, and solid blue light indicates a connection.

press the volume button to turn off the bluetooth (white solid light). When you're ready to connect, press the volume button again (blue blinking light). Blue solid light indicates a connection to your device.

If your have a blue solid light and your device is connected to the speakers via bluetooth, can someone else interrupt your bluetooth connection and pair their device?

In other words, is the blue blinking light, the only time that the speakers are in bluetooth pairing mode?

Thanks in advance

Able to score one for $30 today. Brickseek show 5 in stock. No where to be found at the store on the floor or signs. Helpers at the electronic are not willing to help look at the back since it says "on the floor". Price just went down today since I've been checking daily. I knew they were hiding it. I found a manager on the floor, had her go check. Lord behold she came back with one.

Yeah, the included manual is B.S.

There appear to be numerous variants and changes over the years, so I don't know that they all have the same feature set with respect to the Bluetooth implementation.

For example, the one I just purchased from WM (manufactured in June 2021), if I have it set to use the 3.5mm jack connected to a computer, the Bluetooth isn't even enabled. It's only when you tap the volume knob and the LED goes from white to blinking blue (pairing) that it even shows up in a list of available bluetooth devices. If I tap the volume knob again, and it changes from blue to white, it disappears from the list of bluetooth devices.

So even if you don't want to use the speakers hooked up via 3.5mm, that toggle seemingly can be used to prevent unwanted connections to the Bluetooth.

EDIT: All in all, I'm quite pleased with the sound quality at the $64 price point.
Do I have to manually press the volume button to change it to bluetooth mode each time I power on the speakers?

There's no off button. so it should be on that setting until changed.

Grabbed a set for $40 today, great deal. Actually it's clear enough, decent sound and soundstage for my office speakers.

Picked a set up today (still 64 near me). Extremely satisfied with the purchase. Bluetooth works great for me. I was pleasantly surprised with the sound quality. it would be impressive at full price; amazing at 64 bucks.

Planning on going back to buy another set.

Picked up and configured a second set, also manufactured in June 2021. No problems, works fine. There's a bit of static with no signal if you have your ear right up against the subwoofer, but it's inaudible from more than about a foot or two away. Just put it on an outlet switch or add an adapter with an on-off switch, and you're fine. Just note that when coming on from a power off state, it defaults to bluetooth pairing mode (blinking blue LED), so if you're using it wired, you'll have an extra press of the volume knob every time you turn it on. No biggie IMO.

All 3 of my local Wal-Marts have 5+ units in stock (Zip code 61820), and all ring up at $64. One of the stores has them stickered at $84, but they ring up at $64. So no $25 or $30 units locally, but no complaints at the $64 price.

Is mine defective because whenever I move my iphone that is connected to the aux cable, I get a loud popping noise. However, if I leave my iphone stationary on a table and the aux cable does not move there is no loud popping.

Ok, I'll bite.... Could be the cable, could be the port in your iPhone (although I didn't think that iPhones had headphone jacks for several years now). The aux connection is meant to be used with a stationary object, not a mobile phone that you're moving around constantly. Why not use Bluetooth?
