This is also hackable with separate items in cart for $138 for the driver kit

Second time trying a hack (first time a few months ago I cancelled the item i wanted to return and they cancelled the entire order). I ordered the drills to my home and the wrench to in-store.

I ultimately picked the the impact and hammer drill with the 45 bit set + a wrench to return ($151). I need the bits and I don't need the stubby.

I only see that I can cancel the entire thing, no option to just do the wrench. Do I just never pick it up in store and it'll refund?

Correct, If you do not pick up your instore portion of the order it will be refunded.

Hope that helps.

Is this a good starter tool set for a new home owner to use as tools around the house? I am looking to install my blinds and furniture.

Edit: Was told to get a brushless, but not sure the difference with these or if these are brushless.

This is top-of-the-line pro contractor level stuff. You don't need to spend this much for what you're doing and you absolutely don't need brushless. For installing blinds and putting together furniture, Black & Decker, Hart, or Ryobi should be more than enough at a fraction of this cost.

Great choice. I don't consider it as overspending as the quality of the tools will be cheaper in the long run. Longer warranty than most other tools (5 years vs the typical 3 or 2 years for the tools) while the battery is about the same (2 years).

Also, when deals like these come out you don't have to look over your shoulders and regret not getting something a little pricier/ better quality when you go for non-pro makers like B&D, Hart, and Ryobi. In fact, you'll be spending less money overall if you consider the second purchase. Would you rather spend a little more and get a better quality product that lasts longer or pay less and get an inferior product plus having to purchase a second item just to replace it. The decision is up to you.

How do you calculate the amount for the free tool if you hack? I want to get the multi-tool.

I found out why my whole order was cancelled, it is because the item I wanted was not immediately available for pickup so it is actually a "ship to store" even it shows "Pick up", and this means at the cancellation page, there are "Cancel" buttons for both items, when I click either one of these buttons, the next page shows both item together and the whole order will be cancelled

In my successful "hacked" orders, the "Pick up in store" item is available at store, the cancellation page only showed the cancel button for the ship to home item, clicking that will only cancel that item.

Solid deal, only thing holding me back is I am pretty sure i want the hydraulic surge fuel impact driver. It is much less powerful but extremely quiet. Anyone have any experience with this tool?

Ryobi is only recommended if you are really a beginner/noob, and have limited money to spend.
(Ryobi is extremely noob-friendly, which sometimes is a good thing.)

if you want tools that are long-lasting, reliable, and top tiers, try the Milwaukee fuel or Dewalt Atomic. it is more expensive, but think of your house is ~$500k, and you are spending $300 to maintain it, it is not that bad.
