Think of the Powerstack batteries as high output compact batteries. Some tools benefit from high output batteries and compact high output batteries are nice to have around. My best example is the new compact impact wrenches. My first try with the wrench wasn't amazing since the battery was hanging as far out as a short socket. This is now not the case with the Compact powerstacks. I will get full power with the powerstack compared to the regular compact batteries.

I was able to make this deal a bit slicker. Home Depot has the double pack of batteries on a special buy for $179. Lowes.com chat customer service price matched HomeDepot.com and still honored the free tool deal. Overall I got the double pack of batteries and a brushless jigsaw for $179 with free store pickup at a local Lowe's. Good luck everybody!

Nice. Got the rotary hammer drill. I need to also grab a spade bit to help with planting trees in thick clay. Along with the $99 7 tool 20V deal. I think I am now FLUSH with power tools.

I don't need the extra batteries, but I can always use the tools. So the last time I got one of these deals, I listed the battery pack on Facebook Marketplace for $20 less than I bought this package and someone snatched them up quickly (so in essence I got the tool for $20). That's my version of hacking this deal. If no one buys the batteries and you don't want to spend the cash, you can always return everything to Lowe's.
