For the video users:
Crop sensor in 4k60p. But you can also get full frame 5.9k out and record it. Anamorphic options. Dual iso (clean at 4000). Focus peaking, zebras and plenty of function buttons to set your own settings. Ibis stabilization is great, even better with the dual ibis combination of pani lenses and sensor. Dual recording. Battery life is good for the size of the battery. Overall I've loved this camera. Auto focus isn't going to be as good as the others but works okay for simple scenes. I run it with the fotodiox variable nd l mount to canon ef mount which is really convenient for run in gun situations.

Great performance but I haven't loved it for sports with fast moving action. You also have to worry about moire since it doesn't have a filter that helps reduce that. For portraits where certain materials in clothing have issues, this can be annoying.
Overall, the price is great. Lmount is gaining some traction. 20-60 is worth it for $300. It's really light weight and the 20mm vs 24 is handy. Plus you get the dual stabilization. Unless you're set on buying something like the sigma 24-70 2.8, get the kit lens. I do like the colors out of these cameras and I feel like vlog is one of the better flat profiles to grade in video.
I recently bought my second S5 at B&H for $1697.99 with an additional -$200 off each lens. (I bought the 50mm 1.7 and 85mm 1.8)
I understand these are different price points given the deal, but the S5 typically retails for around the $2k mark with the a7iv at $2500, and most reviewers and such go with he S1H as their go-to video camera. I'm going to be jumping back into portrait work again soon so still are currently my focus, but previously I have turned down some hybrid video work as I wasn't confident in my previous camera's video capabilities.
Edit/Update: was able to look into it a bit more: S5 is definitely more "Capable" when it comes to video, with 6k external recording and better IBIS, raw video recording, with a Caveat of 30 min recording limits on 4k. However, the A7IV seems to be far superior AF performance, and it seems unlikely I would need raw video so the DR with Sony's flat profiles seems good enough for myself. Everything else in the stills department (AF, resolution, FPS, etc) is in favor of the A7IV Going to pass and continue planning on the A7IV purchase in the next few months.
All that said, this seems like an amazing camera for this deals price point.

Overall I'm extremely happy moving to the a7IV especially since there are so many great 3rd party lenses to choose from. I do miss the "pro" features that Panasonic has like shutter angle, HDMI raw output, and built-in waveform monitoring but the Sony A7IV simply does what I want it to without fighting and the video/images look incredible even in terrible lighting.
At this price point the battle between S5 and a7IV becomes a lot more difficult. But definitely look into the available lenses before you lock-in to a new camera system. Also ask yourself how important continuous video AF is for you as the Panasonic implementation is not great.

With the a7IV you are getting: A much better and robust lens ecosystem, unlimited record times, 10bit 4:2:2 on all modes, higher max bitrate, better EVF, more megapixels, and better low light capabilities. Not to mention the aforementioned AF that simply destroys the S5's.
Again all that is a moot point depending on how and what you shoot. But it's definitely something to think about if someone is a run and gun shooter that doesn't have a focus puller to rely on.

The S5 would still be good, but A7C might have some advantages for that specific use case.

Also another question, does S5 have eye focus system? My friend was very crazy for the eye focus on my Sony. I advised him to save some money, and change to A7iv maybe this black friday.
