I have the U8G 65" & it's a good TV, but requires a lot of tweaking. If you don't want to mess with settings for day vs. night viewing, gaming, etc, it might not be for you. It's not a set it & forget it TV.
This will eventually become a name brand. Just like Samsung did decades ago. Hisense has been bringing up great TVs and the U8G is amazing for the price. Gaming and movies are beautiful. No need to spend an extra $600 on OLED unless you have that type of cash laying around.

What is colored toe ? And do you mean $679 for 65 inch ?
This is not true at all. It has been on back order here for at least the past 1-2 months. Still is.
It's the best new tv deal at 1k in 65" atm. Source is rting.com scores. I know because I've been looking for the last 3 hrs a wife just gave the green light on upgrading our 2013 LG 65". If you have data points otherwise I'd sure like to see them.
