Considering it has 2x4gb it should be upgradable but you would have to replace two sticks for best performance.
Has thunderbolt 4 and usb-c charging though and open box models are discounted considerably if there's one available nearby.
Just got this yesterday for open back for 390. When I opened it, it didn't have the AC adapter. I went in the support and they gave me extra 10% off. I feel like this is a good deal. For 360ish laptop.
I bought a HP pavilion x360 from Office Depot a couple years ago on clearance. They send me a display model then offered an additional discount if I decided to keep it and not return it. I kept it, and a few months after the warranty expired the motherboard crapped out on me. Searching for solutions to my problem I saw that it is common for HP's motherboard chips to fail. I managed to find a replacement motherboard and install it to get my laptop functioning for about $150. Was definitely not worth the hassle tho…
