I got this for $850 around black friday and it's definitely a steal, IF you know what you're buying.

Pros
-3060 at $800 is insane
-8gb is 8gbx1 module, so easy upgrade
-2 nvme slots, once again easy upgrade
Cons
-3060 is a 75w card (iirc) so it suffers performance wise. This wasnt an issue for me because I came from a 960m
-build quality is buttcheeks, mushy keyboard, chassis flex, the speakers are on the bottom so I could barely hear anything when watching a movie in bed
-thermals, this thing is like a jet engine taking off underload. I can't explain how loud it is lol

But at the end of the day, it'll run damn near every game and its made me pretty happy

Note: if anyones running Ubuntu on this and figured out how to get 2 monitors working shoot me a message 😂

By a lot ,This laptop comes with 10500h processor which is a six core processor which will be good enough for a low tgp 3060-even enough for a full power 3060 if you dont play CPU intensive games like cyberpunk on high (there is not a huge difference in 10th vs 11th gen(10-15%) unlike 11th to 12th(50%-though prices are 50% higher)You can just add 2x8/2x16 single rank ram to get better performance in the future

For the previous deal at $799.99 and this same deal, I have not seen any Open Box items. has anyone seen them? If so, what were the prices?

BestBuy doesn't do open boxes for MSI. The returned units are sent back to MSI, just fyi.

Excellent laptop. I added a 2nd ssd and extra 8gb ram. Extremely slim and portable, can run in silent mode for about 20% performance drop but can't hear it. Really amazing performance for the money.

I got this laptop last time for the same $799. It's absolutely awesome, I added a 2nd 8GB RAM. But CPU gets hot while gaming, I undervolt it to around -100 and able to lower the temperature by a lot.
