I've owned this for 4 or so years, and it's been amazing. Cooking for two, I never use my real oven anymore, as this does it all, and possibly outperforms my Thermador.

That being said, I highly recommend that you don't buy this if you plan to use it as an air fryer. Combined to dedicated air fryers, it's a pain in the ass to clean.

This particular model competes right against the TOB-260N1 by Cuisinart. As a matter of fact, those who remember back several years ago will know that one of the disadvantages of the earlier Breville model was the lack of the interior light. The Cuisinart already had that feature. Breville did eventually add (copy) that feature as well.

We've had our Cuisinart TOB-260 since Sept 2015 (going on 7 years now) and it has been great. Some of the reasons I bought the Cuisinart over the Breville was the longer warranty. Back then - it was 3 years vs. only 1 year for the Breville (it's now 3 vs. 2). The Cuisinart had the interior light, the Breville did not (in 2015). The Cuisinart also comes with a pizza stone which is nice. Neither one had a air fry tray back then. Breville now does, the Cuisinart does not (but apparently that stainless steel one is a pain to clean). We use the one by Gotham Steel (size XL) and it just barely fits. No problems with hand washing the non-stick Gotham Steel one. We never put non-stick items in the dishwasher. Copper Chef also makes one (both avail thru Amazon). I do like the vertical handles on the Copper Chef one so may try that out next.

Couple of other differences (that probably don't matter much) the Breville has 6 quartz heating elements while the Cuisinart has 5 quartz elements. The Breville has a 2 speed fan and the Cuisinart is 1 speed. I've been mostly happy with the convection performance of my Cuisinart. One thing that does cook surprisingly better WITHOUT convection is Tater Tots (convection shrinks and dries them out) so I just turn the fan off.

But this thing is great for small households (2-3 people). We hardly ever use our regular oven anymore.

The Cuisinart TOB-260N1 is currently available for 254.96 WITH the applied $44.92 coupon. Is the Breville better at almost $100 more. Only you can decide that.

We have ours stacked on top of our Panasonic 1.6 cu. ft. microwave. Have about a 1 inch clearance to the bottom of the kitchen cabinets. We keep the pizza stone stored on top of the oven to slow down heat transfer from the oven to the bottom of the cabinet. Almost 7 years and still going strong. Some links here.

How does the compare to the ninja air fry oven? Been really into ninja products as of late. Great price and hasn't let me down.

If you want the serious air fry function, Breville doesn't perform as good as ninja one. Breville's fan is not strong enough for its size. You won't get super crispy and crunchiness from Breville compared to the regular air fryer.

I find cleaning all the caked on grease in a normal air fryer basket a pain to clean. What makes this one so bad?

I guess I'm the minority when I say my wife and I love ours. We don't have much counter space so replaces toaster oven and we use it as a second oven when hosting or making dinner and food needs different temperatures.

Agree the basket is a pain to clean but not horrible. Spray with cooking spray and out food down. When cleaning taking sponge at 45* angle helps remove any stuck food

Not really, but I'm not a fan of an air fryer/oven combo. Breville convection toaster ovens are top notch.

Will also mention that these ovens will handle a 13-9 casserole dish but it must be WITHOUT HANDLES.

Amazon carries them and this is the one we have.

There are others. We like this one because it is 3 inches deep.

Put it on fb marketplace for $100. I bet it's gone in less than a week.
