Bought this about a year ago. It has replaced out full size oven for 95% of cooking for our family of 4.
At first I lined the drip pan with aluminum foil and swapped it out every few weeks. Then one time I didn't and now the drip pan is beyond cleanability with charred black. So if you want to keep it looking clean I recommend wrapping it in foil and regularly changing it.

I bought one of these during the dark days of COVID back in 2020 for around $279 from BB&B, so I guess this is a pretty decent price for nowadays. It drops to this price throughout the year. For me, it's been an awesome purchase. I don't use the air fryer option because most of these ovens are a nightmare to clean up as it is, and that air fryer option blowing oil/fat/whatever throughout the oven and then baking it onto the sides would be a nightmare to clean. I'm actually looking for a separate air fryer as a result. I think the instructions state not to air fry anything that may drip, probably to protect the elements and lower the risk of fire. Uh, ok. That leaves a lot of stuff out, I guess. They also have warnings about using aluminum foil in the oven and how/where to use it.
Lastly, the thing gets extremely hot on the outside, especially on the top of the oven. As in, it can be too hot to touch when in use. I accidentally touched it when baking potatoes @ 400F and ... yikes. So I would make sure you have enough clearance above and behind the oven and don't leave anything on top when using it. That being said, I have no regrets buying it. Love the thing.

I am considering a Breville Smart Oven. From what I understand, the main appeal seems to be that it costs less to heat this oven than the regular oven, doesn't heat up the house in the summer, and easier for kids to operate. It may take less time too. However, I also see where the newest Breville's seem to have a 5 to 8 yr. life span. I'm not sure I'd recoup the savings on a gas oven. Am I missing the point of this oven? It would also take up counter space.
When my oven goes out, I can certainly see a need for this. I'd probably just put a cart in where the stove in and put this on top. Anyway, I have a good air fryer. My microwave is also installed above the oven, so I have that appliance too.

I wonder if it would be better to get the model just below this that has 11 functions (no proof and no dehydrate)? It seems like the air fryer might be good for larger batches of fries and stuff though. Hmmm.

The only reason I bought the air fryer version was because back then it was the same price as the one without the air fryer. I'm actually looking to buy a separate air fryer because I don't want to use the one in the oven. Some people were even hacking coupons back then to get it for $220'ish. I also could've sworn the one below this one also had some feature like a light bulb/oven light missing on its feature list. Can't remember.
