These are Nylon. They melt at 400 degrees. Silicone melts at 600. Don't leave this in the pan or hold them against heat, but otherwise should be okay.

You know how people like to complain about their Teflon non stick plans losing their non stick ability? They lose their non stick ability because people heat the pans above 400-450F. If you never go above 400F your non stick pans will last for years. They don't put that on the package because it defeats the marketing materials of the products.

This spoon would work well for non stick pans with users who know not to exceed 400F+

What I need is a spatula. Those get destroyed when scraping and being used more often. Unfortunately there isn't a local Spatula City near me.
