Eye doc here. Alaway works okay but if you have really bad eye allergies, buy pataday instead. It is over the counter now and a bottle should last you a season.

I bought one of these in 2020 from another Slickdeal. It's just about to run out. Works great. Hopefully it will last until the next S&S delivery. Thanks OP!

Have you checked the expiration? I think they expire within a year usually…

I'll have to check them out, what makes pataday better?

Not a doc here, but I've used it. It's a once-a-day eye drop (though I believe they have a version for twice a day). There's an extra strength version I've used that is thicker, takes a few mins to absorb, so it may blur your vision till it thins out. Standard strength is thin, just like any other eye drop. What's weird is every time I use them, after 10 mins or so, I get a weird taste in the back of my throat. It is listed as a side effect, but not any big issue. I just take a quick drink of something, and it's gone. Works well so far, only been using it a little over a month.

Next time you go to your eye doctor, bring it up to make sure there isn't any underlying issues. It can be anything from benefiting from some low power reading glasses, having uncorrected prescription, or dry eyes.

Studies (and my anecdotal experience) is that patients report (>80%) that pataday is more comfortable and reduces symptoms better than alaway. If you have mild allergies, alaway will be fine to use.

Pataday used to be liquid gold and can cost $70 after insurance. Now that you can get it for $18 over the counter, it's the one that I recommend.

I haven't. It probably has expired. Still works though and no issues. I'll toss it when this shipment arrives.
