Note this is a 10/11 gen mobo, and if you want 12th gen, it wont work.
Pass for me. Z590 mobo is 11th Gen intel. For price-performance value, the i5 12400 is the sweet spot. Needs a z6xx mobo that supports ddr4 to be hot. A z690 would give you a solid upgrade path.
Don't get hung up on the 12th gen Techtooober hype.

the guy who reviewed the case in https://www.digitalcitizen.life/a...01-review/ has the RAM in the wrong slots. It should be in DIMM2 and DIMM4 for if he's only using 2 RAM sticks. In the picture, it's in DIMM1 and DIMM3. This can cause programs to crash and the system will randomly BSOD. There should be no clearance issue if there's only two sticks of RAM and they're placed in the correct slots. Page 17 in the asus prime z590 manual shows you're supposed to put it in "DIMM-A2 and DIMM-B2" if you have two RAM sticks https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASU...UM_WEB.pdf
Wow good catch. Though its a Z490 in the review and:

NOTE: We didn't receive the ASUS TUF Gaming GT301 case as new. ASUS sent us an already built computer that used this case. As such, we can't tell you everything about the unboxing or the PC building experience. We've disassembled and then reassembled the prebuilt computer that we've received to understand what this case has to offer.
I don't see how the slots used are going to matter when trying to clear the AIO+fans top mounted. Also the guy above was going to pair it with ram with pretty wide heatsinks, though not super tall, so who knows.

Yes, I added all the parts in to PPP and adjusted the card price to total $700, early on in the thread. You're at least the third person to be confused by this. LMAO

Just click 'edit this parts list' on the upper right and you can spec your own build.

I'm an Intel guy but yeah that's a real good deal too. The B550 Strix boards have good memory OC performance, imho a better board than the Z590 prime. Applause

11th vs 12th gen mobile isn't a huge difference. But 11th gen vs 12th gen desktop is pretty huge.

Intel had yield issues with their process so they had to backport Rocket Lake to their older process, which resulted in a very messy cobbled together solution. 12th gen is significantly better.

Yeah no. I don't even watch tech youtube.

https://www.anandtech.com/show/16...00k-11600k

It was backported to their 14nm process because they couldn't get their 10nm yields high enough. The backport came with a number of issues.

I think that you don't know that you don't know as much about this as I know. LMAO

Anyways. Raw power the 12600K is like +40% and about +15% in gaming performance. Which you'll only notice in certain high refresh situations. You'd think that they were offering a Xeon Platinum level performance for $99.95 given the amount of gotta have it going on.

Can tell you're just trolling because you haven't added any of that to this discussion, but to quote the crux of it:

"Intel's Rocket Lake as a backported processor design has worked, but has critical issues with efficiency and peak power draw."

I truly, truly doubt you know more than Dr. Ian Cuttress.

Additionally 12th gen added way more PCIe lanes to both the CPU and the chipset.

Anyone gots theirs assembled yet? Just got done. Using an i5-11600K with EVGA CLC 240 cooler. When I turn it on and go to the BIOS settings, I see CPU temps at 75 degree Celsius right off the batt. Within a minute or so, system shuts down. Can't tell if it's a CPU issue or cooler issue or ??? Anyone else? I got the cooler header connected to the AIO motherboard header. All fans spinning.
