Definitely a good price. It's been around $350 at Micro Center after coupons, so this is great!

I bought one a few months ago and it's been great to overclock and I'm not getting the temperature issues so widely reported...but I do have really good airflow in my case.

Yeah- Microcenter has almost always been the lowest price, but people always complain there's not one nearby everyone. So I take whatever Microcenter's price is several months ago should be other retailer's price currently. People were going nuts for the $350 5800X processor a while ago at microcenter, so it makes sense it's hitting everywhere else now.

5800x used is cheaper and pretty safe. With the 5800X 3D out they have been going for $230 on forums or about $260 on eBay. I wouldn't buy a new one now if you are looking for a "deal".

I mean, I bought a 5900x privately a few weeks ago for $360.

I took advantage of a deal last Aug when PayPal had a promo where they gave a $75 discount for shopping at B&H. At the time, the 5800X costed $395 so it was a no-brainer that I purchased it at that time which costed me $320 in total (excluding tax).
