Step 1) Buy LG V30 on eBay for $50 in flawless condition

Step 2) Root it and install Android 11 on it

Step 3) Enjoy all the features it has that are better than the Nord N200

Step 4) Instead of buying a yearly plan for ~$15/month through an MVNO, pay T-Mobile ludicrous amounts for their garbage plans so you can get a statement credit and a new Oneplus Nord N200.

Hard pass.

You'll still have to pay shipping and tax on the new phone. Comes out to $20-$30 depending on your sales tax. Just FYI

You contact T-Force through Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/TMobile) or Twitter (https://twitter.com/TMobileHelp) messaging. There's no phone number that I'm aware of that'll connect you direct to this level of support. I actually prefer messaging so you have a nice trail of the conversation that you can save as proof of whatever was discussed/promised.

in term of unlocking, there is lots of hits online for free or relatively cheap unlocks.
For example: https://theunlockcode.net/unlock-...0-5g-free/

No it doesn't. There's no way for them to give you monthly credits on a prepaid account or charge you for the phone if you don't keep your line.
We have two backup prepaid lines on older phones. Both got a text saying eligible for $0, specifically naming the phone number and IMEI. I haven't tried yet though.

That is not this offer. You're referring to an earlier T-Mobile offer which does not use 24 monthly credits.

Thanks for that clarification, repped. Apparently the prepaid variation of this offer requires showing up to a store. I wish I could handle this via phone or online, but I'll take it Smilie

Lol, some of us pay less than $15 per line for Magenta Max. So for me, everything you said above is garbage. I grab these "free with any trade" phones just to have as backup or to use as wifi devices around the house. Since I'm on MMax, and not an MVNO, I also grab free with trade flagship phones as well. Since I feel I have a good deal on my plan, I never go griping about bill credits or being locked down for 24 months. . .as it doesn't matter to me
May I ask how you came to such a discounted rate?

Look up a few posts to #526 and the quote that xtrabad was replying to. . .Great summary! and leads back to my sit anyways, so I won't bore you with a 2 pager lol. . .

Bottom line, no chance of replicating it any time soon with TMO. They're just not in that "willing" position anymore. . .or at least the near future. To that extent anyways.

And even if they offer a free line a year, if you can't stick to optimal strategy of 2 paid lines only, and only add free lines, you probably couldn't do it now anyways. Yes I realize you might be able to drop a paid line beyond paid #2 after 12 months of no new lines, but the timing might not work out, if even those free lines ever show up again. And I think the new wording is ever, anyways, not 12 months. . .

Agreed. Paying for 2 lines and have 5 free lines added (1 from the convert 3 lines to tmobile get 1 free, plus the 4 add a line throughout 2018-2020.

Why lock yourself into a contract for a phone that sells for $140 on swappa and eBay.

Wow, I don't think any more than 10-20 people have made that comment in this thread previously. However, since you didn't bother to scan the thread, I'll answer again.
  • It is free, (which is way cheaper than $150-$200 for a non-warrantee phone).
  • You aren't "locked into a contract", if you are a T-Mobile customer anyway.
  • If you are not interested in the deal or it doesn't work for you, move along.
