Snagged this during black friday and have been super happy with it. Beats out the other TVs in this mid-tier like the TCL 5 series and Vizio M

How is the viewing angle and brightness on this TV?

Wanting to put this on my covered patio outside, wondering how it will perform…

Decent but only for tv and general streaming; the settings for HDR isn't ideal for high res gaming unless u just need for switch/or previous gen games

Good but not bright enough for daylight viewing; it can overcome most lightning situations in a bright indirect lit room though

I picked this up late last year. Picture blacks etc etc all awesome. Here's the problem with this TV. You start with 3.9gb of available space. Once it updates to latest Android TV you'll lose about a gig. Then when you install Kodi, Cinema, and a few other streaming apps expect to lose at least another gig or more. You'll be less than a gig within a week. At this point you're constantly exiting the low space warning and clearing cache.

Where it sucks even more. There's no SD slot to upgrade storage. There are two USB ports. Both crappy v 1.1 or 2. Absurdly slow. So slow it's not even worth using them as internal storage. Really. I tried multiple sticks and a hard drive.

Don't buy this TV if you're going to install Kodi and more than a couple of streaming apps. I promise you will regret it.

Seems expensive I got my Hisense 4k 65" for $268...
If it wasn't a U6G then your deal isn't really relevant. There are plenty of 4K TVs you can score for under $300. But they aren't the U6G.

I bought one of these from Best Buy last September to use out on my deck to watch football and for family movie nights. It does double duty in my kid's playroom the rest of the time so I don't have to listen to Story Bots, or whatever show they are watching. Great brightness for use outside; better than expected picture quality, too. I can't speak to gaming, but for sports, movies and general TV, no complaints here, especially at this pice. Pair with a decent sound bar and you'll have a pretty nice setup.

Also the 65" Hisense U6G has 60 local dimming zones vs 55" Hisense U6G has 32 local dimming zones. This may be the reason why some SD users have said that the 55" version has blooming control issues.

If you're sensitive to judder, I'd avoid this set as it's bad on this one. Panning shots can get extremely choppy.

last deal with $650 with 100$ gc

really tempting.. ive been looking for a good 4k tv, just plan to use chromecast with it though
No. Last month's deal was $550 or max $600 with $100 gc, which may have been better, depending on how much you value the gc at.

I got the 55 version of this TV from bestbuy. It was really good. I felt it was better than the costco version. But unfortunately the one which I got from bestbuy had really bad backlight bleeding. It was not so obvious in the day, but really bad in dark room. Had to return it.
