Probably because it's a complete pain in the ass to meet someone to do the exchange for $10. Not sure what your time is worth

Most of my tools are Ridgid from DTO factory blemished so I know what you're saying. I would just prefer not to have to keep tabs on another battery charger that ill probably lose right before I need it for a competition. Ridgid seems to have similar fans that aren't much more expensive (with the LSA). It'd be much simpler just to grab one of my Ridgid batteries off the wall and go
Honestly, if you are already invest and do DTO, wait for a sale. Can't imagine they are THAT different. Other than the blameless Dyson, fans of a similar size are typically similar enough you wouldn't know the difference without side by side comparisons and/or meters and such to get measurements.

I have purchased this Ryobi 6 took kit for $199 in store, it displays $299 in store and if you ask associate to scan it comes $199 if they have not updated the SKU. These both kits are completely same I compared both the boxes. Some store ring it $299 and some store it is $199 so YMMV

Do you know (or anyone else) what difference in the tools are? They have different model numbers but similar specs. oNly difference I can see is the flashlight output.

I was just able to cancel the batteries and keep the tool (planer). Both were shipped to store. I did it within five minutes of placing the order on my laptop.

anyone have feedback on the Blower? Too weak to complete blowing the full lawn (back and front)?
Maybe if you live in a row house.

Does anyone have the 13" trimmer/edger? I have a stihl trimmer and it's great...but wondering about the edging functionality in particular?

The hedge trimmer I have from Ryobi days and it works well.
I had this.

Pro: Work like trimmer and edger (but there will be con as below)

Con:

1. Trimmer: Wire is thin and broken frequently plus the auto-feed trimmer wire feature will make wire replacement even faster. I read somewhere on youtube how to turn off this feature
Disable auto feed electric trimmer [youtube.com]

2. Edger: Will do the job but no edge guider (the metal piece that can lean to the concrete edge) so you have to guide manually.

So I picked a tool from the list posted here, then added the battery after. The tool was half price and the difference was removed from the starter pack, coming out to $99 for both. Otherwise the starter pack only shows me the fogger and sprayer as options. hope that helps anyone if there is still confusion. I basically want the batteries for my kids power wheels but getting a tool softens that cost.

Edited: You can get by with this. It's not as fast as a backpack fogger but I just watched a video and was pretty impressed. We have a large yard that takes 10-20 gallons of mix per treatment so need something bigger. But for small yards if you don't mind taking the time refilling this will do the trick.

The true concern is making sure there is enough air flow to flip the leaves of the plants and bushes around the home and yard perimeter. You want the product on the underside of the leaves. If you have very thick shrubs and plants you need more CFM of air flow.
I have a large (1 acre) yard as well. We just moved in during the winter. Mosquitos and grass bugs are out of control. What do you recommend?

Looking at fogger, vs the 2 gallon sprayer vs something else? Curious about your experience. But I really want to use something that works well for lawn care.

Also, those stupid free atomizer sprayer things, any good for what I need?

That's what I'm thinking too. The ryobi definitely has the smaller form which is what I'm pretty sure I was seeing mostly. I might even look into the m12 fan which seems to be about the same size.

I wish they would add a polisher I feel like the free tool options are pretty slim pickings this year.

Was able to place order for store pick-up then go back in on desktop and cancel just the batteries.
What is the real benefit of doing that? The proration for the pruner (for example) and the 2 battery with charger kit only allocates $48.28 to the battery return. In which case, $48.28 for 2 X 4.0 batterys AND charger are worth WAY more than that. Enlighten me...
