10 is normal. There are 15w now though. Fyi last time I bought an Amazon basics usb cable it literally caught on fire

Aside from the speed, is there a huge difference between this and the official Samsung Duo charger they have?

If you mean the old style small bricks, they're only 5w. It'll work, but will take even longer. It would probably be fine for overnight charging, which is all I use wireless chargers for anyways. If I need to top off during the day, cable charging will always be much faster.
I mean mostly your fault for being a dingus and not realizing your phone isn't wireless charging capable.
