Cheaper than Samsungs website , not a bad price for a WQHD monitor

I take this back. Done some researches, and turned out VA panel is indeed better than IPS panel for Coders, due to much higher contrast (text display) and deeper black (no light bleed), so would be much better for using dark themes in dark room. Big Grin
Main advantages of IPS screen is that they are better for fast moving object (i.e., when playing action video games...), but I hardly play these days...
And finally, this is Samsung VA. Many folks said it is much better than other brands.
At this price, it's a no brainer for me. In 4 1. Thanks, OP!

I believe they're referring to it not being curved so you might have to pivot your eyes and head a bit to see shift your view from the left extent of the screen to the right extent of the screen and vice versa. I personally have this monitor and don't have an issue with it being flat. I think the strain and head movement issue isn't relevant to everyone because everyone does different types of work /gaming on their computer screens.
Decent price. VA panel though.
Wished it was IPS panel...

I like this monitor so much that I have and use three of them. I also like that they all have picture in picture. I use mine for engineering design. Curved screens are not good for engineering design, I have mine setup in 45 degree angles. I'm old enough to know to have proper spacing and height so I don't suffer from neck and eye strain. Can I watch movies, play games, do work, browse the internet with ease on these monitors? Yes, yes, yes, and yes.

How do you use 3 of them? I've trying to figure out how your setup works and I can't 😭

Hi Brett,
How would you rate it for work (coding mostly)? I am debating between 2 x 27" and 1 x 34/35". What would make more sense? Would you be able to comment based on your experience?

Hard for me to comment on your specific use case because my work mostly involves excel documents (which I love the ultra wide size and aspect ratio for because i can display many more columns and data on the screen at once) and for email and Microsoft teams stuff. The ability to snap windows to each side of the screen makes it feel like I have two full size monitors but with no bezel seam in the middle. I've read somewhere that an ideal coding setup is something like a vertical monitor setup next to a horizontal monitor where the vertical one displays code and the other one is used for all other tasks. From what I understand about coding, having extra vertical lines being displayed are more useful than having extra horizontal space being displayed. With that being said, Maybe this makes for an excellent vertical monitor setup too. I personally removed the stand and have it setup with a full motion monitor arm and it's great. To other peoples point, the included stand does kinda suck and wobbles a bit .

Initially, I had the same perception that vertical helps when coding. But now I realized, that if your function/method/routine requires more vertical space, it may just be bad programming Big Grin
I now value having multiple tabs open for comparing files etc. Tooling also needs more horizontal space. So totally fine having anything greater than 27" to be mounted horizontally. Having said that, I am leaning towards the 35" version.
Thanks for your comment.

I use this (you can find it on amazon for $60):
Cable Matters Triple 4K DisplayPort Splitter (Mini DisplayPort Hub ) with 2X 8K DisplayPort 1.4 and 1x 4K HDMI for Windows. Also I do not need the additional power (USB-C) plugged in.

We've ordered and deployed a couple hundred of these for our office and WFH employees. Other than no intergrated webcam, people seem to be pretty happy with them. Wish a HDMI to USB-C cable was included, but not a deal breaker

They are all side-by-side horizontally. The middle one is perpendicular to me with the other two coming off at 45 degree angles with about 6" from my fingertips, arms extended.

You can kind of see how I have them placed here. This deal has been going around on Costco for some time.

I would love to have something like this but my employer locks the laptops completely down. Hard to use a big screen when you can't use any software to make split screening easy. I finally just bought a cheap second 24" inch monitor to use with my Dell 34". Of course moving between screens can be challenging since the cursor doesn't line up between the 2 since they are different resolutions.
Yeah that sucks... im using the dell first gen uw34 now, i dont even know the spec of that, might be the same type of va panels.. i should really look it up
