I take this back. Done some researches, and turned out VA panel is indeed better than IPS panel for Coders, due to much higher contrast (text display) and deeper black (no light bleed), so would be much better for using dark themes in dark room. Big Grin
Main advantages of IPS screen is that they are better for fast moving object (i.e., when playing action video games...), but I hardly play these days...
And finally, this is Samsung VA. Many folks said it is much better than other brands.
At this price, it's a no brainer for me. In 4 1. Thanks, OP!

I believe they're referring to it not being curved so you might have to pivot your eyes and head a bit to see shift your view from the left extent of the screen to the right extent of the screen and vice versa. I personally have this monitor and don't have an issue with it being flat. I think the strain and head movement issue isn't relevant to everyone because everyone does different types of work /gaming on their computer screens.
Decent price. VA panel though.
Wished it was IPS panel...

I use this monitor from WFH and I have no issues with it for the price (was $250 months ago too). However, the stand is not a VESA mount, so don't think you'll be able to fix the no tilt/rise issue if you aren't ok with it. Stand is a piece of plastic the monitor clicks into at a fixed angle.

It does not have a height adjustable stand.

Wobbly as well returned mine as it rocked anytime I bumped my desk.

VA panel, you will see darkness of banding when you move around. Not good for photo and video edits, but for normal stuff OK.

I don't believe xbox supports 21:9 ratio. I have this monitor, I occasionally use my secondary ps4 on it. Despite it running in 16:9 mode, the entire border of the game is always cutoff.

I personally would not buy this monitor solely for console use.

I like this monitor so much that I have and use three of them. I also like that they all have picture in picture. I use mine for engineering design. Curved screens are not good for engineering design, I have mine setup in 45 degree angles. I'm old enough to know to have proper spacing and height so I don't suffer from neck and eye strain. Can I watch movies, play games, do work, browse the internet with ease on these monitors? Yes, yes, yes, and yes.

I'm about to snag the Costco monitor. I had this monitor and returned it. The picture was very dull. The stand was terrible. Overall, it was just a cheap monitor that was big. Not a bad deal for $250 but the LG is in a different class. It's not a bad price at $500. At $350 it's very solid.

I got this about a year ago. My daughter stole it, so I bought a second and put it on a monitor arm.

For the price you can't beat it. It has vesa mount holes on the back. It also has PIP.
