I'm fairly sure this one has a 250 nit screen, unless they changed mid-production cycle. It was the prior yr model with an mx350 and 300 nit screen

Not ideal, but the fact that it has dedicated graphics that isn't sharing the RAM helps somewhat. A lot of laptops in this range have even less usable RAM than the 8gb installed because of the split. I'd say 8gb on this laptop will get you by for most tasks a laptop like this would be used for the foreseeable future.
