It's the best price I have seen since launch. I bought one last week from the Eufy Website and paid $169.00.
Regular price on website is $199.99.

This price I paid of $169.00 included a $30.00 discount. My final price was after tax ($13.39) was $183.38 with after taxes. Hope it helps. I've only had the camera for about a week, but so far I thrilled with the Camera.
I personally like the seperate camera and solar charger. Eufy has been awesome but i've had a few cameras go bad. Easier to switch out camera and just plug in solar than get the whole pricier camera again.
I have had this for 2 months. Never had to charge it after mounting (in FL). Video quality is excellent 2k. Motion alerts needed some fine tuning. Flash light is bright enough. Only drawback is the video only records up to certain duration since it's a battery camera so you may miss parts of long motion clips.

Why get this over Wyze for 35$

I have in past tried a eufy doorbell and Wyze doorbell

My only experience with the two
because Wyze cams are toys.

Will it sync with overall Hømè security or I should stick with a single company?

This is false. How does the solar panel not keep up..? There's an internal battery that lasts 2 months and you're saying it can't keep it topped up? Mine has been working just fine even in indirect sunlight. You can also buy their cloud storage subscription if you care about offline storage.
It's absolutely true. The panel on this V1 design is built into the camera and a lot of people have these mounted under overhangs/etc. Because of this it's difficult to get a lot of direct sunlight and keep the camara charged. They corrected the issue with a separate panel that hooks in with a cable on the new V2 version.

The camera is great and well made, it just may have charging problems depending on where you deploy it.

Hopefully they'll introduce a new version with starlight sensor. Make a whole world of difference. Will hold out as they begin to introduce starlight Sensor for indoor cam.

Let me know what you find out, thanks. I'm going to try to install this camera on my roof but it may be too high and I may need to attach it to the bottom of my gutter

Ordered this

Wasserstein 2-in-1 Universal... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BCJ2KT3

Mount sadly doesn't seem to be built for this type of camera. It's holding the camera steady, but if I apply enough pressure on it, it doesn't take much for it to loose its grip and will end up pointing down. Wondering if I can hack it somehow to add more stability. I live in Florida, so a little bit worried on how this will hold up in heavy winds/hurricanes. Also, wonder how plastic will hold up from the Florida sun/how often these will need to be replaced.

The camera itself looks great. Video quality is much better than my ring doorbell.

I have the S40 and the Eufy 2 Pro. If you don't have direct sunlight then the solar panels don't help that much. I usually like to hang them from trees because they are a convenient mount point, but unfortunately the leaves block most of the the sun. I wind up pulling them down and recharging every 3 months. It seems like these cameras need a good amount of intense/direct sunlight, so as long as you put on your roof or someplace that get good sunlight all day then you should be OK, otherwise the Eufy 2 Pro runs for nearly a year without recharging and you can put it in shaded areas.

I don't know about hardwiring it, but I ran a 10-foot usb-c cable, and charge it in a waterproof charging station, and that has worked perfectly . It even did well in our NY cold winter. It keeps its charge 100% all the time. I have another one in an area where I couldn't run a wire but gets a lot of sun and the solar panel works great. In NY winters though I did have to charge it once, but once day light saving time came, it has kept its charge at 100%.
