isn't this a well known fact for the Amex card . The (lifetime)bonus is once per card , although once per card apparently means once every 7 years. This is why especially with Amex sign up wisely when bonuses are high

Both credits a max of $10 a month each. For the dining extremely limited options.

Is the yearly fee up front or at the end of the year?

This ^^ .... AMEX Gold ends up being $10 if you're able to use $120 in Uber/UberEats + $120 dining (Grubhub, Shake Shack, Cheesecake Factory etc) -- $240 combined

Stack it up with a good sign on bonus and AMEX offers, you'll be making profit by using this card.
