3000 series is end of production, why would you think market would be flooded with them? They couldn't keep it in stock before with how many they sold.

Given the circumstances, this is a good price.

Already happening in China. 3080s selling for $500. Won't be long here before it happens. Proof of stake will happen this year.

When is the market gonna be flooded with 3080? Any reasonable predictions here?

Sweet deal... Amd drivers suck 20+ years so far along with no DLSS and poor raytracing perf (vital in many new titles). Nvidia cards are the way to go... RTX ON!
I don't understand why you keep spamming every thread saying AMD drivers suck, they really don't. The 20+ years part makes you look sound pretty biased and immature to be honest. Also, FSR 2.0 is on par with DLSS (AND not closed like DLSS is, so everyone can enjoy it) You can state your preference, and the raytracing part is legit for those who care, but please stay objective. In many aspects I actually prefer AMD drivers over Nvidia's and I have both. It really depends on the games you play and performance can swing either way depending on the title.

When i'm playing Cyberpunk or a game with raytracing, I prefer the 3090. When it's games like Horizon 5 (and all Microsoft titles) it's much faster on the 6900. Both are stable and great GPU's in their own right. Stop with the bias.

End of life or end of sale? I think they're still going to be supported for a bit.

Okay after your edit you've clarified it to end of production, which is a third option I hadn't considered available

Golden tiger, do you work for Nvidia or something?

https://www.pcgamer.com/miners-ar...-auctions/

All signs lead to show that they are coming down in price, I have two kids and have been wanting to build a computer with them for two years, but these prices are pure profiteering during the chip shortage- which is why Nvidia and amd made record breaking profits and continue to. I'm not going to support strong arming the consumer from those on the duopoly throne.

800 bucks seems ludicrous for this product. HTL, don't make this the new normal by subsidizing corporate greed. The only way to get prices back down to reason is to vote with you hard earned money.

With supply chain issues I don't see the 4000 series coming out until Spring 2023 soonest. There's a reason they haven't made an official announcement.

I also understand the 4000 series will require crazy amounts of power, so people may need to revamp their PC's to support it.

So basically neither then? I hadn't heard of the 4000 series, but the OP was claiming the Nvidia 3000 series were end of life which implies they are no longer supported at all.

Exactly right. My computers have been ITX form factor since they dropped support for SLI and SSD prices dropped (no need for huge spinning drives anymore).

Being that I like ITX builds, 750 PSU is the limit, so I bought the BestBuy MSRP deal a week ago. Don't have to worry for a long time.

Also remember games are constrained by the hardware on consoles. A 3080 is all we'll need for a long time.

Both AMD and Nvidia will be releasing new GPUs in Q4 of this year.

He said they're end of production, which is accurate-ish. The 3000 series cards probably are only going to be made for the next 6mo or so.
They're not end of life, all Nvidia cards use the same drivers within a series (GTX, laptop, Quadro, etc.). I still use my 1080 and it works great.
