For extra $5, why not get the echo show 5 bundle. Must have linked ring account for it to work. Here : Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus (White) bundle with Echo Show 5 (2nd Gen) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08ZQHC6Y8
It doesn't have Bird's Eye View.
Yes it might be less on BF, but you could get robbed within that time also. laugh out loud
This along with echo show 5 was 149.99$+tax on prime day last year. Cam was 113.51$ +tax if you have returned echo.

Isn't the Amex offer valid only at ring.com purchase and not amazon.com? At least that's what I see on my offer. I know Amazon owns ring but the term does not mention amazon.com purchase.

I think, it should work with different emails. Have you tried?

Damn great deal but I ran out of places to mount. Is it even legal to point it toward your neighbor's backyard?

This is the first gen right? Not the newest? Also, any idea if this should be less on Black Friday?
No. This is the 2nd gen flood light cam. It is the PLUS version though, not the PRO version. Gen 1 only had 1 version.

Thinking to install this above my garage doors (facing the driveway) which has vinyl siding and no existing junction box/light fixture, and using this ring wired plug-in mount:

https://ring.com/products/plug-in-mount-cams
https://www.amazon.com/Ring-Plug-...BBM3T?th=1

There is a combo available as well, and comes to $147.98:

Items (2): $219.98
Shipping & handling: $0.00
Ring Protect: -$22.00
Prime Savings: -$50.00
Total before tax: $147.98

That said, anyone tried installing a Ring floodlight cam on vinyl siding before? Do I just drill/screw and mount the base straight on the vinyl siding? Never done that before on vinyl siding as all my other previous Ring flood light cam mounts has been over existing light fixtures.

I have mine installed above my garage door facing the driveway, with no junction box, but a concrete wall. I just drilled a hole through the wall and put the wire through. Used concrete screws to screw the mount on. Though not your scenario, but maybe give you an idea that it might work the same way.

Get yourself a vinyl siding mount, vinyl needs to breathe during hot and cold days so no anchoring it. Then use plumbers putty or caulk to fill in large to small gaps for watertight seal.

I was in the same boat when I installed my Wyzecam floodlight cam. The Home Depot worker was clueless but tried to be helpful. Thankfully, there was an electrician there. He recommended this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Round.../100574367
It sticks out minimally and you won't see it unless you're looking for it. Rock solid install. Won't move.
