I was in the same boat when I installed my Wyzecam floodlight cam. The Home Depot worker was clueless but tried to be helpful. Thankfully, there was an electrician there. He recommended this: https://www.homedepot.c

Found a workaround! Went to Home Depot and bought 1 stickup cam for $99. Set it up at home, linked the ring and Amazon account and bam! Discount is there at checkout

Thanks, I just learned not every Amex card is eligible. I have the Blue Cash Preferred which is a cash back card, not a Membership Rewards card. Seems the only cards eligible for this discount are Gold, Platinum and Green

I've been told that my vinyl siding is a Dutch Lap Siding design, so I'm guessing I would need something like this to go over the siding, and then the Ring flood light base goes over it?

If your siding is a different color and you'd like it to match, lightly sand the mounting kit with sandpaper (200 grit or higher is fine), wipe off, spray paint, then mount to wall. Only need to do this to the visible side.
After install, use exterior caulk to seal around the mounting block/siding & ring kit/mounting block
