Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2 are great adult games.
I'd like to mention though both just came back to Xbox Game Pass as of 7/5, along with Yakuza 0, which is also really solid.
IMO though the mini-games are somewhat redundant but it's worth going through the story at least once for 0, Kiwami and Kimwami 2.

Lowest price ever on Trails of cold Steel 3 of you have PS+. I've been going through the series as a JRPG fan and absolutely love it. Each game picks up in the story where the previous game left off so you are invested as you watch the characters grow up over 4 games. Couldn't recommend the series highly enough if you like JRPGs.

Great price on Symphony of the Night. Must play if you like Metroidvania. It puts the Vania in that phrase. Granted it is over 20 years old, but holds up well.

These two Yakuza games go on sale for $5 ALL THE TIME. So don't worry about missing out if you're not sure you want them right now. The rest of the Yakuza games go on sale for about $8, just as frequently. Sometimes even less when the collection/bundle goes on sale.

Like a Dragon is so much better than any of the other Yakuza games. A sequel is on the way, too. I can't wait. The other games have some silliness to them, as well, but they're not quite as light-hearted. They are also button-mashing beat-'em-up games, which gets really repetitive, really fast. They're still good games, story-wise, but I much prefer the turn-based combat in Like a Dragon. Even though you're not actively pressing buttons, the combat just feels more lively, since there is actually some strategy involved.

Agreed. For most of the people with large backlogs, such as myself, we'll never, absolutely never, get through them in our lifetime. So, it's silly to buy every game that you think you might play someday, just because it's on sale. I've had to catch myself and start asking myself, "Is this a must-play game for me?" That question has stopped me from buying so much, lately.

I've played through the entire Yakuza series. 0 & K2 are my favorites. K2 really did a great job bringing an old game to the newest engine and the amount they expanded and incorporated lore from Y0 just makes it wonderful. It's a shame they never did a Kiwami for 3 & 4.

The main difference is the combat system. Like a Dragon is more turn based rpg, where the rest of the series and Judgment are more beat em up. There are rpg elements in the other games like unlocking various moves. Like a Dragon is fantastic, but my boys Kiryu and Majima, and Akiyama are my favorite characters in the series. My favorites list can change from day to day but right now I would go with. 0, 1, 2, Like a Dragon, Judgment, 4, 5, 3, 6. I haven't played Lost Judgment yet, and 3 is actually a pretty solid game but the graphics are just terrible as it hasn't been updated at all from the ps3.
