Before you buy this read the "Helpful" one and two star reviews. It's a neutered Echo Show in that some of the most useful functionality, available in prior versions of the Echo Show, doesn't work with this version.

Some people get the 25% instantly and some do not. Not sure what determines that. If you need to send the trade-in first then you have to wait until they receive it for the 25% discount to be applied to your account. But then you also have to wait to place the order as well. It's not retroactively applied.

25% trade in is not applying during the order. Any idea if the 25% would apply after they receive the old echo device?

From other threads: do the trade-in and once it's scanned at the ups store, you'll receive the coupon within 5 minutes.

In for one, Got lucky with the Instant Trade in deal. I hope the Flood light and doorbell pro 2 goes on sale.

Anyone know if the instant discount can only be done once? I think I read that you can only get 1 coupon. But that is for trade in for Echos. Being a Security it might be 20% discount which can be used in addition to Echo trade in. But only once.

If I could get the instant trade in I would buy it. I might chat and see if I can. I have two 1st gens I can't use anymore and getting 25 each for them.

Log out of your amazon account, close window, click on slickdeals link and it should appear - that how I got it. The it prompts you to sign in and still shows.

Tempting for the price (I have trade-in discounts). But I'm not sure what I'd use such a premium Echo show for. Can you cast stuff to it as easily as Google displays? I can cast youtube or photos in google photos directly to a google display via the youtube app and the photos app. But it seems like with Echo Shows, you have to use the Alexa app to play youtube videos?

I want to like the Show, but I'm not sure I'd get much use out of the actual display.
