Please be very very careful. You might receive screen replaced phone, which is bad quality. I think some people received used good phone and some received screen replaced phone. You know you are taking your chance and return is such an hassle. Some people in the previous deal received brand new unactivated phone, but I think it is just rare case.


1st phone has white spot and sent to Apple. Apple denied the warranty due to 3rd party modification, and I think the screen is replaced. Still under warranty until 04/22, which is useless.

2nd phone, screen is cracked and screen is replaced too. Still under warranty until 03/22, which is useless too.

3rd phone, heavily used and out of warranty. Screen seems original. I can see bad scratch front and back.

Be very very careful and know you are taking your chance.

I had filed an FCC complaint concerning a "billing issue"last week and someone called me back today to respond.

Basically just apologized for what happened and said if I wanted still wanted the phone to order it again when it goes live.

I basically said I was unhappy about these shady practices and holding my money after orders were cancelled. Guy acknowledged they took my money and refund should be 3-5 business days. He said he's escalating the issue and will let mgmt know about these problems.

We will see if they keep their word, if it does nothing at least this creates a "record" of this complaint, so I don't believe that it's useless to call or make waves, if there's enough complaints the issue will at least get acknowledged.

I have noticed it a lot more times. There have been so many times when there has been a charge on my card, followed by a credit for a canceled order. Not the norm for sure, but also not uncommon.

Yeah, it's not the norm, but I've seen it a number of times as well, often at smaller businesses. I think the gist was that the practice itself isn't inherently problematic. But it would be nice if places doing it were at least prompt with refunds when issues arise. Smilie

paypal dispute closed today in my favor, don't know if it was because the FCC complaint I filed and the rep calling me back to tell me I would get a refund in 3-5 days but to note, the dispute closed earlier than expected, so it's possible they just initiated the refund that closed the dispute.
*edit it closed due to TFW initiating the refund.
so I suggest if you don't get anywhere with them, open an FCC "billing" case, they have to provide a written response to all cases open so they can't just sweep it under the rug.

Order can't be found on their website anymore!!! WTH? I could still check order status on TW website using order # and email address a few days ago, and it showed cancelled. I can't now: "We couldn't find an order number and email that matched the information you entered. Please check the information and try again."

I am checking order status to get a screenshot of cancellation status from their website, in order to file a dispute through CC. However, the order can't be found anymore. It just gets more and more shady.

You shouldn't need it. Just state that TW showed the order as canceled and that it's way past the date that you should have received it. Most CC will approve the refund pretty quickly unless shown some evidence indicating that you received the item or that it's on the way.

No refund its 3 weeks , hopeless customer service they keep saying refund will be processed in 30 days they cant do anything even though website shows order canceled. I paid with visa gift card with horrible dispute process and that's another PIA to me. Anyone successful getting TW to click refund button from their end?

Received a refund via PayPal this morning for the 2 $99 phones I ordered. Opened a BBB complaint last week and spoke with an agent yesterday from the Executive Resolution Department who said I'd get a resolution by Monday (the 1st).

I got a follow up call today from someone in the executive resolution department. My favourite line from the agent on today's call: "The good thing is that we gave you back your money" (for the cancelled orders). He didn't really know what was going on either, he needed me to give him the ticket number to get caught up.

I have no clue how TW is so incompetent, the executive resolution department took about 45 minutes to even find my order / ticket / BBB complaint file, the agent kept saying "One more moment please" every few minutes. If this is the top end of the company, I'm afraid to know about the entry level support.
