Hail Hydra.
This is crazy. Still waiting to replace my 1TB NVMe SSD I bought four years ago for $69. Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron stop colluding to milk the consumer at 1-2TB kkthx. We are ready to be cheated at 8-128TB.

Digitimes: Samsung new NAND flash capacity coming online in 2H21 may worsen price falls.

Everyone has been brainwashed to eat these high prices because xyz reasons. It's easier and cheaper to print ssd NAND memory than make a hard drive yet you don't see those staying stationary at 1-2TB for the past 4 years.
It's ridiculously easy on Android. You just need the right apps.

Look into setting up rsync or just use something like SanDisk Memory Share.

If your router can host a network share, you might not even need to use OTG. You could have it wirelessly sync your new pictures whenever you're at home.

Anyone know if this would work for backing up pictures/video from a Pixel 5a5g via OTG? Don't want to use stuff like Dropbox or Google Photos... Have tried doing research on how to do this stuff but it unfortunately doesn't seem easy on Android

Tom's hardware has a good review of this drive and comparisons to others including SD drive. After reading that I decided on 2TB SD drive b/c of price and they are very comparable.

What are the advantages/disadvantages to using this instead of an internal NVMe 2280 drive for gaming?

Best Buy cancelled my Order.

I got 3 from Amazon.

I think it was a price error with BB, but Amazon auto repricing Bot price matched it. Soon as BB went OOS, Amazon price shot back up

Anything else? Slower speeds than internal 2280 drives for example?

Would a drive like this work as an external expansion for a PS4?
