the 1tb was 82$ a bit ago? maybe this isn't what I should do, but I always look at the higher capacity and if it's less than the lower capacity one, on sale, then I figure the lower capacity isn't a deal... so my thoughts are that if the 500GB was less than $41.. then this would be a deal.. otherwise, for me at least, I would just buy the 1TB when it goes on sale again

this doesn't seem that hot

Good deal on this model but I got a Gen 4 WD 1TB (7000MB/s read) for 100 bucks on prime day so these will likely keep dropping in price

BB also has 1tb 970 evo plus refurbs for $80 to 85 (currently $85, but lower a couple months ago), And those refurbs are sometimes in near new condition, with very few hours and amount of data written on them.
Like above mentions, if you can get this 500gb for $5 to 10 lower then this would be hot (current deal is just warm).

I'm glad I got one for $49.99
Still showing as $49.99 on Amazon for me.

On a per MB basis, aren't the 1TB ($99) and 2TB ($179.99) better deals?

Perfect timing! I need one! I had Bestbuy match the price since I had $10 certificate, so I ended up paying $40. What a deal!
