No Monty Python or Mel Brooks movie could ever be made today. It's ridiculous. It blows my mind that we actually stay away from making certain shows or movies, rather than just telling the offended people not to watch them.
yes, ideally in Steelbook or coconut-shell packaging

For those who haven't noticed yet on the packaging, it is Movies Anywhere (MA) compatible - although I wish they would have also included a paper copy of a cat license from the half-a-bee sketch.

wait for the activists to ban this movie for being insensitive and racist. No way such a movie could be produced these days

I know, can't wait for birth of a nation in 4k. People need to chill.

The corporate groupthink is firmly back in control in Hollywood. Back when "inmates ran the asylum " in the '70s Hollywood actually produced movies reflecting hard truths and social inequities. But after Reagan and his bunch pushed and accelerated the consolidation of industries and censorship of anything that didn't conform to "America, F… Yeah!" attitudes, the voice of socially conscious artists have been muffled ever since. Today it's ridiculous endless "superhero" movies and dramas with little connection to the causes of the breakdowns in society. More and more it's only Foreign movies that can say anything of substance about society.
Although, the Life of Brian ended up having a hard road to being made and it was George Harrison who ended up putting up the financing because even then the studios were afraid of the religious zealots. The American Taliban seems to be getting their way more and more today, it will be interesting to see how the artistic community and the corporate gatekeepers respond to such attacks on our constitutional freedom.

While I agree on the comments about Python and Brooks, if is not really the same with Birth of a Nation. The Python/Brooks movies, while they may be offensive to some, are intended to be satire, Birth of a Nation was not -- it was a straight glorification racism.

I didn't think I needed to put /s on my comment.
The film's title is just Monty Python and the Holy Grail. But people do like to add the word "search" for some reason.
