I'm thirsty to upgrade, but I don't see how the 3000 and 4000 cards can be better than what I have besides heat control.
even the 3090 has trouble with 4k 144fps

Just Google it, there are several sources that say the same thing.
And yet I worked for Sysco and they undercut Costcos prices by a huge margin to sell to restaurants and make millions in net profit every year with no membership fees.
If you think they just sold 12 million consoles last year at a loss..... Well I'm a Nigerian prince and I have an amazing investment opportunity for you.
An Xbox could cost 3 grand a piece and they would still figure out a way to claim that they are breaking even or selling at a loss for tax purposes.
You really believe they are just making money off the games? Microsoft just posted 16 billion in revenue for Xbox. If they are squeezing developers that hard for royalties, then why aren't game developers pushing PC gaming with added features for PC like madmen so that they don't have to pay Sony or Microsoft with that much money on the table.
And why would they sell at a loss when they could obviously charge more with all the scalpers running wild.
They are making money my friend.
More like smoke grass.

It's all over the Internet, YouTube, cable news, and most importantly investment/stock news. Just Google it. Nvidia has a multi-billion order at TSMC, who makes the chips. TSMC will not let Nvidia out of their contract, which means that a ton of 4000 series cards are coming whether Nvidia wants them to or not.

people like him get a 3000 series card and only play league then complain about how it wasnt much of an upgrade from their 10 series card

It's a disservice to the
PC community to not be honest about this or how much value these new consoles bring to the table currently at thier price point. They are not really consoles these days, just PCs with restrictive custom OS. Even supports keyboard and mouse in almost all games.
It's a good thing for us, lowest common denominator and all that.

Take that at whatever face value as you'd like. Me personally, I'm sticking with my 1080ti for a little bit longer.
