Just be prepared for the possibility of receiving damaged drives. NewEgg does crappy packing. I won't buy drives from them.

They're regular drives, just have some firmware optimization for big arrays and better resiliency against vibrations from adjacent drives. I have seven of the X10 in my system, and they're just regular SATA and power.

Yep. Consumer SATA drives are normally in the high 20's dB for noise. This drive is 32dB to 34dB. Remember decibels are logarithmic so this isn't as small a difference as it seems.

Yes and your hearing is also logarithmic, so perceptually it is small even thought the sonic power will have doubled ever 3db.
We perceive a 5dB difference as roughly a 50% increase in volume.

What?
Some external drives taken out of their enclosure and powered with sata power supplies that pass 3.3v over the 3.3v pin are configured to shutdown when detecting that 3.3v. I've only heard of this issue on Western Digital drives (but I haven't tried using external Seagate drives). Either way, it will not be an issue with this Seagate Exos drive.

"This OEM drive does not come with a warranty."
unclear if any warranty exists and it's not worth the chance of going through hoops getting newegg to honor a warranty down the line. maybe you can get one through your credit card, but likely only a year or 2 extra

Newegg chat is stating it has a 5 year warranty but they are double checking with their support team... so still unclear.

I am running two Seagate IronWolf Pro 6TB NAS Hard Drives (ST6000NE000) in my Synology DS920+. Is this worth the upgrade transitioning to enterprise level drives?

Huh? Confused Based on the Backblaze data you likely don't want the the X14 14TB drive. The 14TB X16 seems fine (though not as good as the 14TB WDC WUH721414ALE604).

Man, how the mighty have fallen, I remember Newegg being the please for ordering hardware, now everything I see anyone talk about Newegg, it's about their shady shenanigans and awful customer service.

I don't have experience with Seagate enterprise drives but I added two Western Digital 16TB Golds to my DS920+ during one of their sales. My DS920+ sits in my office about 9 feet behind me, and it is a noticeable clunky/mechanical sound. I took a few days to get used to it, but now it's just background noise. All that to say if you need the space, go for the upgrade but be prepared that they are noisier than consumer drives.

Equivalent in what way?
The Exos X16 has better on specs (on paper) than either of those consumer grade WD red drives for lifetime and error rate.
