I got an email that Syng recently launched their Cell Alpha speakers in discounted bundles, but they also sent a 20% off coupon for email subscribers that stacks. These typically sell for $2,499 each, but you can get 2 or 3 in a bundle for $4,499 or $5,999 + 20% off, so final price is $3,599 or $4,799 after discount.
The email doesn't say when the codes expire, just 'Limited Time Offer'
Code is SYNGSET20
I heard some of these speakers at a friends house, and they sound really crazy - a totally different type of experience where you can move the sound around the room with an app when you have more than one. The are really expensive, but they are a vibe for sure - way better than those Devialet Phantom speakers if you've heard those.
Just wanted to pass along the deal if anyone was eyeing these because i've never seen them this cheap.

Then they have a fancy acrylic formed shell to act as the sub enclosures and it looks like they have horn speakers mounted around the rim for the directed mid and high range.
Honestly, not saying it's not worth the price because they could be using high end speakers here and the craftsmanship may justify a portion of the rest. It's just I can't imagine this configuration is anything amazing. It really just depends on how they Tuned the speakers and how well it comes together overall. You'd have to hear them in person though since this is not standard which can equate to missing the mark a lot.
It isn't unique to reverse sub woofer mount, but it may be something people may not have seen before if they are not hardcore into audio. That may add some mental hype for people to justify the cost, but it's not rare. Also This sub configuration does not impart anything magical either, it's just another method of mounting. One reason the OP likes these is that the bass ports both up and down and probably not forward so you get sub reverb off ceiling and the floor (which may be unique sounding listening experience - perhaps more room filling). For this kind of money though you can buy a LOT of other high end speakers on the market. I would not drop cash like this without comparing these vs other high end speakers on the market.

You sound like you know a thing or two about high end audio. If these aren't worth the price for what they do what would you recommend to someone like me who's not an audiophile but still appreciates good sound.

I do see the following in the specs
Two woofers in opposing force-balanced configuration
Three element, two-way beamforming array
Three microphones for automatic room equalization, wall proximity and direction detection, and multi-Cell geometry calculation
TBH a HomePod is probably more advanced/capable.
For 3,000-5,000 dollar range you can start getting into hifi speakers and the higher end of the home theater world.
You'd also have to decide if you're going for a home theater setup or a music listening setup (or something that's tryin to do double duty). The main issue with home theater are the need of surround speakers, so you'd need to at least have two solid towers out front if you wanna pull double duty that way your music stands out in full range.
There are so many brands to recommend, but I can give you a short list to look around. Focal, KEF, Polk, Bowers & Wilkins, Klipsch - their higher end is nice for home theater, SVS - make great home theater subs on their high end.
Focal and KEF are a couple of my personal favorite for audio and their prices range the whole gamut all the way up to a million
I like both klipsch rp8000f and jbl studio 590 for the money when they are on sale. Hard to beat for the price.
You can run them on as little as an a07 stereo amp that costs $70 and get a lot of return for the investment, or use as high end of an amp as you want.
They're both very efficient and easy to drive and can handle a little or a lot of power and you don't need a sub to get them to sound good.
There are plenty of other good towers in this price range but I went with these for their high efficiency, not all towers can run on cheap small amps and give great sound but these can.

500 bucks on ebay or less pretty often. Locally maybe way less.

Just one example but a brand no one mentions that I've found some vintage gold in.
Most people don't want to replace drivers, deal with old foam etc. Which I get. But there are just some ridiculous sounding snell loud speakers out there going for next to nothing if you look locally or on ebay.
You'd be paying thousands to match what they can do.
All that being said there can be big differences between the different models made. Do some review checking first.
Full disclosure here, I don't own them yet. I've been on their mailing list since they launched in 2020, but truth be told i have so much Sonos at home (13 zones in a town home… haha) that I haven't pulled the trigger on these. I'm mulling it over though because it would be kind of awesome.

There are tons of speakers better than the ones I mentioned especially high end stuff used, these two were just easy to find new and are on sale/clearance prices on a regular basis.
It was also an important criteria for me personally to get the pinnacle of high efficiency, well over 90db that can run on a small class d amp and still sing because I'm on a small solar system.
These klipsch and jbl big towers are more efficient and easier to drive to crazy levels with minimal amplification than most anything else. Mine are on 24/7 365 days a year and used for everything, with the little class D amps I don't ever even have to turn them off to save power. They're using 4 watts at idle, that's all.

Those speakers you list are a completely different animal from the bang for the buck dual 8" towers I like for loud and full range music and home theater use. I might like the sound of those with a nice sub, but they look to be designed for the opposite of my usage, I'm not into critical listening at reasonable volume levels, kind of the exact opposite of that.
