I was looking to cash out a gift card and noticed they added a Walmart gift card option, and they are adding 5% bonus. Goes from $5-200.

I held out for YEARS after doubling my money on that deal - like $2000 between 3 cards.

Now the best, repeatable, deal seems to be around the Holidays when they offer Happy cards @ 20% discount, and the card is accepted at Lowe's where you can buy 3rd party GC with it, so for me it's basically an Amazon 20% discount. That's happened the past 2 or 3 years.

But why buy a gift card for 5% off when you can just use PayPal at Walmart to get 5% off?

Thanks for this! Hopefully that comes back. I'd like to buy Apple gift cards since they no longer offer 20% off on Discover anymore

Edit: Lowes is not currently an option for any of their "Online as Credit" gift cards Frown

That's the best GC deal I got this year. Saw the 20% off happy gift cards earlier but didn't like the selection. Still waiting for some better deals.

But how you convert these e gift cards to plastic cards? e gift crads has to convert to merchant e gift cards before use at store.

As I said SOME of the card they sell are "run as credit". Just pay attention to what you're buying first.

As a rule of thumb, merchants generally do not allow you to buy 3rd party GC with their own store GC if they sell 3rd party GC.

Sorry I still didn't get it. Once you get Happy gift cards from discover deal comes as a email with code and a pin to redeem in the website. Only option is to convert to merchant gift card that can not use as credit card in the store. As I know u can buy plastic cards only if u buy from store. Is there any work around this?

may I know what are the steps for PayPal checkout at walmart to get 5% and where do you see 5%, I see 3% if I pay with PayPal master card.
