Sad reviews, but I bit for a second leg strap (first came with Ring Fit) to play soccer kick off with my girls. Kids won't care about quality drop if they didn't play Wii.
I'd still take Xbox 360 kinect sports that's from 2010. Although I did buy switch sports, since I also enjoyed wii sports . Haven't opened it yet due to lack of playing space area

There just isn't enough content to justify $40 imo. The original Wii Sports was a throw in with the purchase of a console and was revolutionary. The switch version is actually less of the same and retails for $50.
That said, I'm looking forward to trying golf, which was supposed to have been added already and has been pushed back to winter.
An unfinished, unpolished title. Thinking of the hardware/dev capabilities from Wii sports to now.... mind boggling they didn't go for more. Personally, none of the games are that fun for me

I liked Wii sports and bought this at $60 and it's not even worth $40. I might pay $20 for it, but there just isn't enough content. You only get tennis, badminton, bowling, soccer, volleyball, chambara, and they added in tennis too (probably because the game needed more content). It feels like a 3rd party knockoff game that you would pay $20 for.
Is it actually "worse" or do people have higher standards / no longer amazed by crap 'motion' capture 16 years after the launch of Wii Sports?
Look at it this way....have movies generally improved since the 1920's or should we compare reviews % for % regardless of the era? Steamboat Willie vs Avatar? Heck, Duck Hunt was considered a great game back in the day, one I wasted many hours on yet I doubt I could play it for more than 5 minutes without finding something else to do instead. Would it be fair to judge Duck Hunt vs Fallout 4 in terms of quality even if hypothetically they had the same review score?

IMO every modern example you gave is more derivative or buggier and unfinished, albeit more complex, and the classic examples are higher art and more refined, albeit simpler.
Are SDers also "idiots on the internet"? See other commenters above and consider the company you are associating with on this site.

Yes Avatar is derivative of Steamboat Willie and the Fallout 4 is just Duck Hunt with a fresh coat of paint. Clearly the older material was copied and the latter was basically a "buggy" reboot. LOL...those were my examples and that is what you are saying. Can't make this stuff up.

Did I comment or reply to a link quoting SD'ers? Didn't think so.
Popularity has never equaled quality. Take Baywatch; the most popular show on the planet earth a decade after their last taping, even on syndication it was setting records. Sure that means it was the best thing on television during its reign....
BTW, have you actually played all three games you are comparing or just basing your opinion based on metacritic.com?

I didn't say Avatar was derivative of Steamboat Willie, rather I said it is more derivative without naming the influences (e.g. Pocahontas). Fallout 4 is very buggy and unfinished compared to Duck Hunt, but at a larger scope.
You are ignoring the comments above yours which support my assessment.
I have played both Wii titles. I wouldn't be commenting in this thread if I had played the Switch title yet.

You said "every modern example you gave. "
Way to walk that back

Yes, 100-200 hours of content and 6 DLC's is slightly harder to get bug free than a single static background and 3 moving sprites. I bet your average newspaper has more typos than a fortune cookie. Does that mean the fortune cookie's content is of higher quality? Is the newspaper "derivative" of said fortune?

So I am basing my assessment from evidence as opposed to cherry picking comments from a web forum to support a preconceived opinion?. What an insult! I also get my medical advice from doctors, not memes. Silly me.

So I am right, you have no experience with the product you are slamming? Just riding on the coattails of randos' comments and almost 2 decade old reviews.
Thanks, I knew we'd get to the truth sooner or later
