Amazon open-box returns FTW.
Lol yup, but they do double the storage for for $20 (64 to 128) so for some that's worth it. I don't use ethernet port on my apple tvs.

1. Double the storage
2. HDR10+ support
3. USB-C
Pay close attention in the link you provided to the wording (which is admittedly a total disaster):
"HDR10+ support: The latest generation of high dynamic range technology is now supported in the Apple TV app on tvOS 16."
This means the app itself supports the ability to stream HDR10+ content -- in other words they added HDR10+ content to their servers, and the app downloads it. The device itself still doesn't support it though. Here's an official Apple thread being more specific: https://discussions.app
For reference, HDR10+ is used heavily on Prime Video and other services too, and has been around for like 5 years. Shame on Apple for not supporting it years ago.

- 2021 Apple TV 4K: $179 / $199 (32/64 GB respectively)
- Apple TV HD: $149
So even if we pretend the 2022 Apple TV 4K 64 GB / $129 version doesn't exist it is still a $30 saving minimum MSRP Vs. 2021, and you get more base storage + WiFi 6/USB C charging remote/CPU update for that money.
You may want to ask yourself though, if for your specific needs, the 2021 32 GB Apple TV 4K at its clearance $110 price could make more sense. You'll gain Ethernet and save $20. Is that worth it for the things you'll lose? What will you use the extra 32 GB of storage for? Only you can decide.
PS - In my opinion additional storage on an Apple TV 4K has no strong purpose. You cannot store your own media on it, and gaming is very niche/bad. Nobody would buy the 128 GB model if not for the Ethernet Jack/Thread removal thing, Apple knows this. Instead of making a compelling use-case for additional storage or some other selling point, they take stuff away. Lame.

The one on sale for $110 was 32gb, not 64gb. 64gb version was $130.

Return mine? Heck, I just bought another one. I'll never use up the 32GB of onboard storage. I do need Thread and Ethernet. Why pay for the 128GB model for those things. Also I doubt the A15 processor is going to benefit anyone other than Apple Arcade subscribers.
That said, I'm keeping my 2nd Gens sealed until BF. We'll see if there's any discounting. Last year Apple gave a $50 GC w/ purchase and Target had a free $10 GC w/ $100 Apple GC purchase. So we shall see.
