Good deal but it's so hard to buy one of these when you can just buy a used iphone XR (or even a new one) for under $200 and get $420 off + $100 gc at BB for a Pixel 7. That's a little more work but clearly the better move.

Main reason being that a TON of people had old phones laying around and they used the BestBuy/Google trade in boost to leverage a good resale value for their old unused phones.

I had a Pixel 4 XL with an aged battery, got a $320 trade in value and that got me a $343 refund (they refunded some tax too) on a $655 Pixel 7 ($599 plus tax). On that deal I also received a $100 BB gift card. So it was $312 net investment. If I turn around and sell it at $450, I make instant $138, plus the gift card that BB gave me. I could NOT have sold that Pixel 4 XL for $138, it was trash. For the record I'm using that Pixel 7 right now, it's awesome.

This promo turned some trash into money. That's why swappa is flooded, but from my perspective it's a win for customers and a win for people with semi-old phones.
RIP environment though

Yeah, but I have to use an iphone which features i dont need if im looking for a pixel (call screening, hold for me, etc), universal back button/gesture, always on display, and USB-c.

Tho orinally buggy, its a lot better now. FP is actually reasonable, its just that samsung is billion times faster than optical sensors.

You couldn't pay me to use any of the pixel 6 series. Google should give all of us p6 owners our money back. Or at least a free upgrade to 7.

as hard as it is to believe not everyone is on Slickdeals or lives their life based on deals. It's prob because it's an Android phone or because people can buy it for $10 a month.

When Google pays you be the beta tester of hardware 💰
I'll take it? The Pixel 6 is alright if it was a lower price, the Pixel 7 is awesome.

Hell yeah I'll beta test them at a decent price point...

It got a little bit better towards the end, it's a usable phone now. Agreed, Google owes a $300 voucher to every P6/Pro owner (myself included) for the state of the software that lasted an unacceptable long time.

A ducking apology is the least they owe us.

Just took a look, wow... Why are there so many getting rid of at such low price for a new phone?
A lot of people flipped older phones into Best Buy to get the Pixel 7 for cheap. Now they're trying to profit on the open market.

On screen fingerprint scanner that works half the time. Seemless access to one's phone is everything. I'd pass
Seems like a general problem with Google phones that's gone unaddressed. Even the old 2XL had a finicky capacitance fingerprint reader.

Pixels are like demo phones, they lose value fast. As soon as brand name phones come out people forget about generic Google

Like why would you pay $900 for a dev kit
These phones should be cheaper. Google basically mines Pixel user device usage data to leverage their ad business. They make billions $$$ every month on ad revenue. These phones should be treated as loss leaders and sold as close to cost as possible like Amazon does with Fire tablets.

Pixel phones are good devices for developers. Beta channel, updated source and unlockable bootloader.

Not at all lol. Different audience.

XR had a garbage camera, low res screen, 60hz, iOS, most iOS apps cost more and are subscription based, no magic eraser equivalent, useless Siri, etc.

Pixel 6 is fire. Everybody who paid full price got burnt with glitchy hardware.
