OP clearly said "not uncommon" so folks are probably downvoting for mediocrity. The $299 price appears multiple times a year and usually comes with the cheap (non-rolling) stand. If you wait a few weeks until Black Friday you can probably get the stand too at this price.

Amazon had this model plus the stand for the same price early this month. You guys should wait for Black Friday for more potential good deals.
For those not aware, Sawstop came out with their most affordable injury saving table saw ever recently: https://www.acmetools.com/sawstop...05581.html

Its $899, but cheap compared to the hospital visit it could prevent.

Yeah, I missed that deal with the stand on Amazon. They have it right now on Amazon for like $322 with the stand, though, in all honesty, I'd never use that stand anyways...ever. Absolute piece of crap. I think you are right, though. I wouldn't be surprised to see this saw as a "Special Buy of the Day" this month for less than $299.

It's a good unit. I have 2 corded ones and the 60v version. The milter gauge is garbage though.

I bought this one. I often find myself wishing that I bought the bigger model that takes dado blades. Great compact saw besides that.

Amazon is matching this price as well.

I went with HD for my purchase due to a 10% discount code thrown in with my HD credit card statement. Maybe a better deal coming up BF, but I need it this weekend. Not the best deal maybe, but a good one on a great saw, plus I don't want/need the stand.

Yes. It will also sling all over and make a mess.

I have this lovely machine and absolutely love the performance. I've cut plywood, OSB, MDF, and dimension lumber. The high rpms compensate for the smaller blade. True DeWalt quality. The price can be slightly better with the stand but when cutting a big 4'x8' sheet of plywood it's easier to use on the ground w/o the stand.
