Black Friday will be 49.99 start Nov 14th
Complete off-topic, but I found shop vacs to be one of the items you can often get almost for free at local garage/yard/estate sales - I got a similar used Ridgid earlier this year for $10 or so at one of the estate sales.
My previous shop vac was from a garage sale as well, I think I got that one for free after buying some other tools - for some reason most people don't want to clean a dirty shopvac (or don't have a compressor that can make cleaning much easier), so they prefer to get rid of old ones and just buy brand new.

Just my 2c.
"Very powerful"
"not all that powerful"
...what reference material are you guys using for these contradictory statements?

btw, agreed, this isn't a deal at 69$.

If this is the same one they had for $50 last year, then $50 is the most I would spend on it. Out of the 5 shop vac's in my shop, this is by far the loudest and most shrill (I tried Rigids "silencer" on the exhaust port and it does nothing). This would not be a pleasant vacuum to use for long stretches of time. The only reason I kept mine was because it is tied for 2nd most powerful and I use it for my miter station with a foot pedal that way it only runs for exactly as long as I need it and no more. It is seriously as loud or louder than the dewalt DWS716XPS 12" miter saw that it's connected to.

Too add to this, You should get the filter bags for it and you won't have to clean out the filter anymore...plus no mess.

Maybe - usually estate sales, someone died and garage sales, someone upgraded. I don't think anyone out there scraps a vacuum cause they don't want to clean it (unless they think it is broken) but I have been disappointed in humans before and likely will be again.

Is this like a very powerful Vac to vacuum your vehicle? I see it here a lot and with mobile detailers.

As a zero shop vac owner I can't decide if I should completely ignore you as a 5 shop vac owner (because probably don't care about differences) or pay attention to you precisely.

Get the OSHA HEPA filters to go with this and you can start sucking up lead paint chips, and dry wall dust.

I was doing it without those

Is this not the same Rigid Shop Vac that just about every contractor uses for their business? Is there another I'm missing? If not what are you expecting out of a Shop Vac? Turning it on and pulling in furniture from other rooms?

If you need it now, this is a great deal. If you can wait, you might want to hold out until the 6 HP vacuums go on sale. There seemed to be some difference when I went from the Rigid 5HP to the 6HP. I love the HEPA filtration packs that you can get with these, though expensive.
Check the specs. Bet the 6HP and 6.5HP vacs have higher CFM than the 5HP.

I had 3 Rigid shop vacs and hust switched to new Dewalt Quiet Vac (QT). I strongly recommend QT vac! You will hardly hear anything compared to Rigid. Super quiet yet 5.5hp.
