If this one is better and in what way, or vice versa. I'm on top of the latest screen technology, but I tend to prefer LG over Samsung.

Ah, well we're talking 144hz vs 240hz which is a huge difference in game play. You'll notice that for sure IMHO. The curvature is not drastic enough for a 49" for me on the LG though. I'm comparing this LG to the 165hz 38" I got at costco for $1100 and this 49" seems the no brained of the two LGs. But as far as the Neo G9 goes, we have to find out which panel has the best accurate, deep colors and blacks, Neo G9 with VA or the LG Nano IPS. Ips better in every way with gamer specs but unsure how these new VA panels are with the Samsung NEO technology....

Back up to $2000+
Mine is mounted on an arm, so after I got the first mounted, I simply pulled the second monitor and put it on the arm and put everything else from the newer monitor into the original box with the orignal monitor and sent it back. All in all, was a 10 minute job, just annoying but not going to eat my $200 because of it.
As for return reason, I simply stated I found a better price. I tried support for price match twice but they wouldn't budge.
Whoever buys my open box devices on Amazon will be getting a really good deal

If your monitor is good, any reason not to just return the new one unopened? If it has a slip to be packaged inside, you can just slide in the opening and tape it.
This way you don't need to swap monitors. Just put reason as it arrived late. It will likely asked if it's still unopened and mark yes on that.
