On the fence about this as well. Would the price go down lower for black Friday?

I'd wait. The best deals are coming in the next 2 weeks or so. Keep your powder dry so to speak.

Yes but it's a Fire TV with bloatware and ads.

For anyone considering this for current gen consoles (PS5 and Xbox X/S) this TV only has a 60Hz refresh rate on the panel. If you're using this for TV watching and movie watching, it would probably be a decent value and bang for your buck at this price. Definitely could dip lower around BF, though.

Yes that's the 2021 Omni Fire tv model. I was almost tempted to buy it the other day. It's a lot cheaper at Best Buy than Amazon. Now I'm tempted to buy this years 65" for $599.99 but still on the fence. I've mainly used Roku and always liked it better than Fire TV but I like the fact I could make interest free payments on Amazon. Kinda wanna wait to see all the black Friday specials though. I was pissed when I missed out on the 55" 2021 Omni Fire tv for $110 last month. ๐Ÿ˜ข

I think the opinion was based solely on the price though. Pay slightly more for the other model mentioned (Hisense U7H I think) plus a FireTV Cube (I think that's in the $900 range altogether). Given the Omni is at $600 now, I wonder what he'd say.

It's basically a TCL 5 series panel with some Alexa based smart features!

I think better prices are definitely in store for this TV. I haven't seen the TV myself. That's part of the problem with most FireTV's. Where can I go see it? But just being a spec 'tater, I would say this TV is not a buy until you get below $500. A slick deal for sure at $450. On paper it looks to be roughly similar to my U6H that I got for about $400 via the recently deceased Hisense promotion. That deal came with hoops and strings however. The U6H isn't a fireTV, There's just something about an OS that favors one app over all others that I am a little leery of. U6H preferred at same price.
