This is essentially 20k points (2x Add-a-Line bonuses) on Tracfone for $30, 20k points gets you a $300 off coupon. That gets you multiple refurbished iPhone XRs you can trade in for a Pixel 7 or for Apple GC credit.

"Tracfone reserves the right to deactivate any phone for which there is no voice, text or data usage for a period of six (6) consecutive months for smartphones and twelve (12) consecutive months for other phones. If your Service is deactivated, your Service can be reactivated by purchasing and adding an Airtime Card. Once reactivated, your phone may be assigned a new phone number. Airtime which remained unused at the time of deactivation will still be available if Service is reactivated within sixty (60) days from the deactivation date, otherwise any unused airtime will be lost."
I ported out my original line yesterday to take advantage of a deal on another carrier. As I was poking around my account, I noticed the following wording in the fine prints:
"Awarded points will take 60 days to process. Existing line(s) and new line(s) must be active for pending points to become available."
Will they take away the 20k points that are pending? I noticed there's an option of activating that line with a device. I can activate an unlocked iPhone with an available eSIM slot. I understand I'll have to select a new plan ($10 for 30 days and then extending it with points). Anybody knows if that satisfies the conditions?
Thanks in advance!

The first line CS reps are extremely unreliable, especially relating to more involved issues.
The only way to get it done in these situations is to demand to be transferred to Corporate and speak with someone there.

I ported 2 #s to the account to replace the 2 new #s assigned by the Tracfone system and I was assured by the Corporate rep that the rewards will vest after the 60 days.
So, it's NOT "not to make any changes to the account until the points post", but not to make any changes to the devices and their associated IMEI and ICCID Sims for their respective phone lines.
The poster above made such changes by porting out the phone # and so the device is no longer in the Tracfone system as a valid phone line.
So, no rewards points will be vested.
The best thing he can do is add another device with a new phone # and get a NEW line.
To make sure the 10K points will be valid and will be vested is to speak to a Corporate rep.
If getting the rewards points is critical, it's best to spend the $35 and get two new Orbic flip phones and add them as new lines to the account ASAP as the 10K rewards points will not last much longer and the HSN price will increase soon.
Also, be very careful when porting in phone #s to existing devices/lines.
The porting process involves deleting the old phone # and so deleting the attached device and the existing phone line.
Then a new phone line is added to the account with the ported # to the existing device's, IMEI and ICCID.
The existing plan is then reset with the original plan's number of calls/texts/data and a new expiration date starting from the date of the port, SO IF there were a few years of calls/texts/data and remaining # of days they are lost. All these numbers should be noted before the port so that they can be added back to the ported line #.
So, you must speak to the porting agent to make sure that this does not happen.
IF that's a new phone line, say a week old, with the 10K points pending, everything gets reset on the port date so, the expiration date is new as are the calls/texts/data.
So, for this new phone line with no accumulated calls/texts/data/number of days it's better to get everything reset. BUT it's best to speak to Corporate to make sure that the rewards points will vest and not get lost.
It's a weird way Tracfone does porting in a phone #.
Speaking to a Corporate rep is the best way to make sure that the 10K rewards points for a new line will vest after the 60 days.
Again, the first line Tracfone reps are useless for resolving involved issues. Demand to speak to Corporate reps.

Since English is usually not the first language of these first line reps, I want to use language they will understand.

I can't find a definitive answer and nobody has responded to me on Reddit either. So I decided to try reactivating the line by buying a $10 30 day plan. It didn't like eSIM on a iPhone SE3. So I tried the physical sim option. I thought it was going to send me a physical sim (sorry I don't know much about Tracfone), but instead it reactivated the old sim with a new number. I later extended the service for another month.
I hope that will do the trick. All 3 lines are active and the history of the original line shows deactivation from yesterday and reactivation from today. I'll see what happens on the 61st day.
When I ported out the number, texting to 611611 with FOUR returned an IMEI for a device I no longer have. Fortunately I recorded the complete IMEI before I traded it in at T-Mobile. After reactivation, it still shows the same IMEI if I text FOUR to 611611. In my account, "unknown device" is listed. Not sure why it has never been updated. I have used the sim card in various devices after the original device was unlocked, but somehow that one (an iPhone 8) just got "stuck".
1) Unfortunately, sometimes things with Tracfone don't work they way they are supposed to, and it's not always easy to get them fixed.
2) Tracfone remembers each IMEI and SIM used with their service, presumably forever, and regardless of what account they were used with. So many of the issues with people not getting points involved refurbished phones (where they don't clear the prior activation records -- I have experience that, and was told first-hand that was the cause of my issue by TF corporate). There is also some risk if you transfer the service to a new device (especially a device previously used with TF), that you will lose any activation bonus points -- based on them tracking the activation/deactivation of specific devices.
3) For the 10k points to vest, you need to activate a new (to Tracfone) device and a new line, but you should be fine porting a number INTO Tracfone. My advice would be to port as part of the activation process, since that's an option, and that worked for me a couple of years ago. Porting after activation should be fine, but see item #1 above as a caveat emptor.
4) You SHOULD NOT cancel any existing lines (including porting numbers out) while waiting for the points to vest. It's not 100% clear whether you just need to have the same number of lines at the vesting date as the activation date, or whether that number of lines needs to be maintained during the entire vesting period. That's why the conventional wisdom is not to cancel any lines / combine any buckets while waiting for lines to vest.
5) If your 10k points don't show as pending after activating the line (it's been noted that the previous approach of adding the device for later activation and then activating the line later was recently changed, though some report it still working), then you need to call and ask them to note it on your account. You can try to ask them to post the 10k pending points, but odds are they will tell you to call back after 60 days.
6) Any manual points posted typically have a waiting period to vest (the rep has some options for that). I had points with a 14 day waiting period applied to them (TF reps call that a "cooling period"), but have seen people post elsewhere there are 30 day and 60 day options too. Supposedly, the reps have a 6k points limit, so a 10k manual add may be done in two increments.
7) If you want to unlock the device after 60 days, DO NOT transfer the number/service to a new device until the 60 days lapses. This is YMMV, as I've seen someone post that iPhones automatically unlock 60 days after activation, regardless of any changes, but since nothing with TF is guaranteed or is easy to fix (see Item 1), I'd advise not taking the chance unless the unlock doesn't matter.
8) It seems that Tracfone links the SIM and the IMEI together on their Verizon service. So, it's best to consider them "married to each other". So if you want to swap devices, you shouldn't swap the SIM from one device to the other -- there have been reports that people's service got suspended by doing that and they needed to put the SIM back in the original phone or get a new SIM for the phone they want to use (i.e., you shouldn't move a SIM, but you can substitute a new, never activated SIM into a device).
