Visit this page: https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/c...4252096710 and click on "Get one On Us, when you switch. See Details." Phone is $49.99 up front, which will be refunded via Prepaid MasterCard 3 months later. Need to keep line active at $60/month to qualify.
This could be a good deal for a new iPhone 11 even though you need to pay tax up front and $20 activation fee. As advertised, you would pay $200+tax after virtual $50 Prepaid MasterCard for a new iPhone 11.
Rather than pay for 3 months of $60/mo service to get the $50 prepaid card, I'm going to try to activate with $40/mo plan and cancel after 1 month. The terms indicate that you get $450 instant rebate. This would cost $60+tax. If they don't let me activate with $40/mo plan, I can activate with $60/mo plan and still cancel after 1 month.
I was able to pick up the iPhone 11 today for $49.99 at a corporate store. They added $20 for activation and sales tax in CA was only on the $49.99. They wouldn't let me out of the store without the $60 plan. I was charged $91 for the "service payment," which is was told was included the first month and taxes. I should have stopped there. You should only be paying $60 at most for service.
After setting up my online account and chatting with a rep+supervisor, I learned that $10 HD Video, Mexico and Canada Unlimited $5 and insurance Premium $16.00 was added to the $60 plan in store for a total of $91.00. I asked specifically in store if anything else was on my plan, that I didn't want insurance or anything else. The best the rep could do was credit me the $51.
If you do want to purchase this, you should be paying $49.99 for the phone, $20 for activation, tax on the phone, and the first month of service ($40–$60). You should walk out the store paying as little as $110+tax but no more than $130+tax.
This is a brand new iPhone 11 that will most likely unlock on its own in 6 months. Maybe the $165 that I paid isn't so bad. You could trade it in for a Pixel 7/pro for $484 at Google Store or for $525 at Best Buy. Many are ordering the same phone reconditioned at Straight Talk for $185 with 1 month of service that unlocks on its own in 2 months.
After calling the store to try to get more assistance, maybe my $91 for 2+ months of service at $40/mo isn't so bad.
I like this...If you don't need the service, you can just cancel. The phone will end up costing you $170-$190.
You just have to wait 3 months for unlock.

Wait, so you paid $91 for the service payment in store? I guess my experience was similar even thought they only added $10 extra to my service payment and lied to me about that claiming it was taxes and fees. Metro is horrible for doing that. If you complain, they will give you "credit" for that but if you dont want to stay beyond first month, then it is useless.

I was told I was paying $31 in taxes and fees instead of all these other add ons. Can you actually leave the store without paying more than $60 for service payment? This is shady, but I am not sure if it's the reps or system that does this.

Which state if I may ask? I am wondering if we both went to the same store : )
Metro stores are really shady including the corporate ones. They did the same exact thing to me, did not give any breakdown and tried to pretend that the $10 insurance was taxes and fees. When I caught them in the middle, she even said that she will refund me right away but after the port was done, told me to deal with online customer service.

Was this in SoCal by any chance? Going to be trying to do this tomorrow so hopefully there are no issues with extra fees.
Paid 210 for Iphone 11 64 gg after porting in a Simple Mobile number. Price is 99+ tax+60+20 activation. You cannot get price at 49 because you have to stay at least 3 months to get t0$ virtual visa .

According to this thread, you can pay for 1 month of service and the phone will be unlocked after 180 days: https://slickdeals.net/f/15808654-metro-by-t-mobile-port-in-offer-64gb-apple-iphone-11-one-month-of-service-160-in-store-only-new-lines
