I was slowly replacing my house switches for the last ~ 3 years with kasa devices and this is going to be my third and the last iteration after which the transition will be completed! By this point I own around 40 devices and I'll tell you that I had close to 0 issues with them. My garage switch randomly disconnected once and I had to reset it, thats it, no issues during 3 years of usage. The best part is that if you consider switching from alexa or google to home assistant OS - kasa devices use local pulling which means that all your devices will communicate over you local network and NOT through the cloud. This means insane response times and reliability plus no internet required to run automations. Highly recommend kasa products!

P.S. they did mess up big time with 3 way dimmer switches though. There are multiple issues with the first version that can't be fixed with firmware updates so make sure to buy the V2 version only. I already installed one and it works flawlessly.

I use the smart plugs for holiday lights, and have 4 Wi-Fi switches for outdoor lighting. They all work on schedules and are fantastic!

Do they not make the H105 anymore? I have read the H103 that are listed as 15a are actually 12a or 13a.

Can't find any listings for the H105
Apparently they started off as 12amps but later revisions of the H103 have been 15a for at least a couple years now.

I got the Wi-Fi dimmer for my outdoor LED patio lights. Works great on my sunset + X hours timer as well as dimming the LED string so it's not as blinding.

Why kasa products are very cheap compare to wemo or lutron
Because Wemo and Lutron are Apple Homekit compatible which require an extra chip to be included in the design of Homekit compatible switches (for security). Smart switches can be grossly insecure…

But if you use Apple products it's great to have all your smart devices in one place in Homekit. There are other ways to get smart devices to show up in HomeKit without HomeKit compatible devices.

Additionally Lutron devices run off of a smart hub not WiFi which on their case is much better since the hub can reach much further and through more dense walls like concrete.

Do you know if it's less power drain too than WiFi-based smart bulbs?

Only slightly smaller on the Ultra Mini if you compare the dimensions. Ultra Mini appears a little cheaper in construction (subjective), so I went with the Mini and saved a buck. Specs are the same otherwise.

At Costco, I got a Feit LED string light line for this one. It looks great and gives a nice ambiance even with the dimmer function on its lowest setting.

For example, I can set my Wyze plugs to automatically turn something off after being on for xx amount of time...can't do that with my Kasa smart plugs, have to set a timer manually each time.
There is a setting under the Smart tab -> Featured Actions that lets you have an Auto-off timer.

I have both the Indoor and Outdoor plugs and they both work real well using the Kasa or Alexa app.

Kasa devices are great.... I have 35 active right now and they never give me any trouble
Do you have to use the Kasa app, or can I control them with Alexa?

I was talking solely about smart switches. And if you have an old ass house that has no neutrals in the in the switch boxes and you want smart switches, you're either paying for a switch or paying for an electrician to upgrade your wiring and guess which one is probably cheaper.
Regarding "neutral", are we talking about the white wire that runs with the black "hot" wire to every outlet?
