Non-TotalTech Members price is $249.99. I have had this since 2018. So far so good!

You must not live in a cold weather area. Being able to start up your car while inside, when your car is covered in snow, and freezing cold. That's the use case.

Insane deal! I think the best this has ever been was $120 2 years ago. I've got this installed on 4 cars so far, and it has never failed me.

why would anyone want to start the car remotely? what's the use cases here?
There have been many times that I wouldn't have been able to get in my truck without a remote starter. Doors have been frozen shut many times.

Depends on your car. Some only take an hour or so

yes. its also a safety feature so no one can just jump in your car and drive off with it already running.

No one has asked so I feel like I might be stupid for asking, but would this require the purchase of a bypass module like most remote start systems for most cars made after the year 2000?

Great deal if you need it. Otherwise wait for the LTE drone package. Depending where you are, interference can severely reduce range. The parking lot from my work building is separated by huge steel utility poles. I can stand literally 50ft away with clear line of sight to my car and the signal will not reach the car as long as I'm behind the poles.
I've started my car from deep inside a giant warehouse with many thick walls and objects. Works 9/10 times.

Anyone know of anything that works on newer model Mercedes? Hate the idea of paying a subscription.
