Non-TotalTech Members price is $249.99. I have had this since 2018. So far so good!

You must not live in a cold weather area. Being able to start up your car while inside, when your car is covered in snow, and freezing cold. That's the use case.

Insane deal! I think the best this has ever been was $120 2 years ago. I've got this installed on 4 cars so far, and it has never failed me.

You do realize a remote start can work with A/C too, right? Judging from the comment you quoted, plus your comment, it doesn't seem like you realize this.
You'll still need the actual key to drive the car.
It'll work fine. You're also going to want the ADS-THR-CH5 harness. Lastly, they may charge you about 15 bucks to wire up a relay to control your parking lights. Just how it is with your car.
This particular bundle uses the DC3 brain. You need a bundle that includes the CM900 and blade. To you, zero difference in usability or features, it's just what's compatible with your car. I don't see any on their website right now, but I'm sure they have it. Maybe go into the store and speak with the installer (not a blue shirt)? This [amazon.com] and this [amazon.com] is the system you need.
CMBMXA0 and the ADS-THR-BM1 harness is what you need. Best solution, no question.

Great deal if you need it. Otherwise wait for the LTE drone package. Depending where you are, interference can severely reduce range. The parking lot from my work building is separated by huge steel utility poles. I can stand literally 50ft away with clear line of sight to my car and the signal will not reach the car as long as I'm behind the poles.
Even in my house it's hit or miss. As long as I'm standing near a window and have line of sight it seems to work better.

No idea how it would ever work from 3,000 feet

Can somebody tell me if this will work with a Manual Transmission? The site says it's compatible with my 2017 Mazda 6, but that car comes with both Manual and Automatic transmission. I have to press the clutch to start the car. Is there a way if I leave the car in Neutral that this can work? TIA

I had one of these installed a couple of years ago and BB completely botched the install. My battery kept draining and I took my car back twice. It was never properly fixed. I downloaded the install guide from iDatalink and after researching how to install this, I realized they had wires connected which weren't necessary and wire weren't connected which needed to be.

After installing it the way it was supposed to be, I have not had a single issue. I also love the range on this thing.

Does removing another aftermarket alarm and installing this included in their installation? I have a crappy sidewinder system that is intermittent and occasionally shutting down my truck I believe due to some faulty wiring. Would love to change out for this and be done. Would love it if they did the wiring as well over me trying to find the relays on the old system.
No. You have to pay extra.

Just bought TT, seemed like a good deal for me, $100 to upgrade for a year, will probably come in handy. $200 membership, or $250 without. $140 with TT and $200 to upgrade.
Can you become a member, get this deal, then cancel the membership?

Hmmm...why not? I thought remote start can be installed on pretty much any newer model cars/SUVs.
